So pretty! I really like this method of doing the rows latitudinal instead of longitudinal as I saw elsewhere. Your method seems easier for me with RA in my hands, 'cuz I can doing it flat on my work space. I also really like that you have to rows graduate longer in size. I've seen it done with the rows all the same bead count and the top rows tend to look kind of squished. Anxious to give this a whirl for this years tree. I also love the idea of making doilies this way. Often I'll bring in some flowers from my garden for a bouquet, but I don't like setting the vase directly onto our wood and marble/granite table/counter surfaces. A bead doily is just the ticket for that. TFS!

Perfect! So, to keep covering the ball do I just do the reverse of the rows?
@Potomacbeadco11 жыл бұрын
Hi Sylvie, those crystal were added afterwards and just threaded through that row of beads then tied off. Does that make sense?

I love the beaded ornament cover. I have made some but this one fit the bulb better. Also a big ty for your more explaining and slowing down on showing us how to do your tutorials I have learned a lot more when you explain things much slower and cover more on your tutorials again ty so much. Can you do a pretty but easy medium size crystal star ornament? I have not looks hard to see if you have done on yet.

How do you keep the thread tight so you can not see the thread?

Since you increase the number of seed beads per row from top to bottom, would you begin decreasing halfway down if I wanted to cover the ornament completely.
@Potomacbeadco5 жыл бұрын
You could. You can also repeat the pattern from the bottom up, and join them in the middle. Bear in mind that this method would be permanent, and if the bauble breaks, you wouldn't be able to put it onto another bauble. You would need to undo it. Perhaps if you make two separate hemispheres and then use a special row of beads and separate thread to link them together, you might be able to undo just that one row and replace the bauble, then redo the special row.

Thank you for doing this my mom wants something like this and I did not know where to start. So as long as you keep the numbers right you can make the netting as small as you want is that was you mean? I love how it looks at the end too.
@Potomacbeadco11 жыл бұрын
That is right, you can adjust the size of the netting by adjusting the number of beads on that row... you will just want to stay consistent across the whole row.

I don't have any beading needles could I just use a very small sewing needle?

I was thinking about 2 1/2 inches all around so that you can see the star points. Just not tiny. Ty for replying to my e-mail. My bulb is coming out real nice I am going all the way down around so I can put fringe on it. I will post on your face book page if all goes good.

to make the netting longer how many more rows and bead count would be needed. I have watched other site, they explaine but go to fast, thank you for only talking about how to do the netting. How ever I would like to know how to increase the length.
@Potomacbeadco8 жыл бұрын
Do you mean how to drape the netting further? In that case, you would just make another row along the bottom, using the same counts as the current bottom row.

Hi Jennifer, I think they were 6mm but you can use whatever you like - crystal drops or even magatamas - whatever you have on hand.
