We should remember that while he is a tutel he is also human. Humans have opinions, insecurities and preferences. From what I remember it took a lot out of him to sing even this once We shouldn't pressure him too much, or he'll retrieve to his shell never to sing again

@@razier5299it’s much more about traditions. back in the day people still used julian calendar, despite whole europe using gregorian calendar. then Lenin decided that ussr should use also gregorian calendar and so moved all dates forward two weeks. although even the dates are moved, people continued to celebrate christmas according to old calendar. so we call it "old new year"

@@razier5299 But then again, Christmas is not really a thing in Russia, many don't even celebrate it at all, except maybe for strongly Christian families. The New Year (the night on December, 31'st - January 1'st) is considered to be "the" winter holiday instead, and the whole country goes full savage for it with the preparations, decorations and presents. So, pretty much the same tradition overall, just a different choice of date

@@razier5299 Russian Orthodox Church still uses the Julian calendar, so their 25th of December falls onto everyone else's January 7th. But Christmas here is a purely religious holiday, and most people aren't very religious, so very few celebrate it. We do the New Year's instead.

As a watcher of Layna for quite some time now, she was one of the only collab that was more interested in Vedal than Neuro at first, and that says a lot about her character : she's really chill, you should hang around during her stream, it's a good time (her being the aunty in the family tree is sooooo fitting)
