the concept of a heist movie taking place in the middle of an alien attack sounds fucking amazing thou
@Lucios19959 ай бұрын
So Army of the Dead switched with aliens!
@ThommyofThenn9 ай бұрын
As long as the motivations and stakes make sense. What I mean is, there has to be a sense that the aliens can be defeated/reasoned with. Otherwise why bother with the heist? Comically large bags of cash/pallets of gold ingots etc probably won't be much help when aliens are death-raying the planet. Maybe the heist could originally be set in a secret military/industrial facility and you're initially planning to steal some data or something relatively mundane. However when the aliens invade, your character might realise having money is pointless if the world is destroyed. Then they could find some kind of bizarre technology/weapon and your gang decides they will drive off the aliens and THEN enjoy their ill gotten gains. One of the gang might not get it and tries to force you into the original plan, so you can kill them or spare them(which leads to alternate outcome late game.) Then as you start fighting the aliens, you become recognised as saviors and showered with more gifts and fortune than you ever dreamed of getting from the heist. Maybe some nosy reporter starts asking what you were doing in the secret area in the first place. However, this is swept under the rug as you and the gang go off to enjoy their lives as super famous heroes and badasses

Now that you mention it... yeah. I forget when she saluted, but especially if she saluted indoors, that's a dead giveaway she doesn't know that 1) you don't salute indoors (other than for a Board) and 2) officers aren't supposed to salute first for the enlisted ranks. Even if the salute was done outdoors, you're not supposed to salute in a warzone for fear that the enemy would be able to figure out who an officer is (source: veteran). Either that, or she's a typical dumb Red Sox fan.

Ah, Newark, New Jersey, how I miss thee...well, actually I miss all of NJ since I was born and raised there. I was reared in the backwoods hillbilly county of Sussex, the northern most of all in NJ. (At 01:30, you can see on the map that there's a star in NW NJ and the name, 'Newton'. >That< is where I call home. Always have, always will, even though I haven't been back there since before those great Towers fell on that clear, warm fateful September day) I spent my first 15 years in NJ, loving nearly every minute of it. I'd visit Newark every couple years when flying out to visit family elsewhere in the country. Getting to the airport was something of an adventure, since even though it was only a 45-60 minute drive from home, it might as well have been another part of the world entirely for the difference in landscapes there was. My home in NW NJ was wooded, forests everywhere, rural, mountainous, with winding roads and guard-railed ravines hundreds of feet down just mere skips from the asphalt along with massive dairy farms, huge lakes and many photo-of-the-year contending small, cozy towns where everyone knows everyone. As you traveled to Newark (or indeed, the NYC metro area in general) the forests and mountains gave way to flatter city blocks and six-lane highways, the smell of industry and car exhaust, traffic snarled to a stop every day at the same time in the same place. You'd have to jump from one highway to another, to another, exit onto yet another and you best be ready with those quarters because the >TOLLS< required worship for blessings if not sacrifice. Not enough coin to satiate the traffic gods? Your sacrifice would do. Not of your soul...at least not yet. No, your offering was TIME. You had to trade time for convenience. And once you made it to Newark Airport, your trial was not yet complete. The gods had one last test for you... PARKING. Hope you were paying attention to the myriad of signs along the way! Otherwise...well, you'll find out soon enough... **evil laughter** I can't wait to go home someday soon. I've been gone for 26 long years but I can't still hear the forest winds calling my name...
