Some of these toys shown were displayed on the Late Late Toy Show in 1984 hosted by Gay Byrne. Then the Late Late Toy Show could incorporate the word "Toy" as an integral part, ( unlike nowadays where 95% of the show shows acts by dancing children )

Nah 80s was worse. 17% unemployment, you couldn't complain about paedo priests and the Troubles. They were all 10 times worse than today's problems. Dublin 40 years ago was a total kip. Thank God it's not like that anymore. It's far from perfect today, but I remember then vividly. It's was far, far, far worse Anyone who thinks otherwise wasn't there, or lead a very charmed existence
