Thank you for this!! I SO needed it! I've been really upset because Im afraid I can't give my kids the Christmas they deserve. Money is super tight and I've been sick in bed for a month. Hearing Eddie's "Hero song" literally made me cry! I know this is supposed to be a funny video but it made me cry. Christmas will be thin on presents and fancy treats for lots of families this year but it’s ok. I grew up in a poor family and each child got one not too pricey gift and a stocking with an orange, candy and small things. It was always great.

I was the Queen of Christmas for 25 years. Made 50 goody bags every year for all the kids at church and friends kids, etc. Also gifts for every family member I know of. Plus the big decorated tree and tons of baking! Now I am old, divorced(not my choice), disabled and poor. I gave up on gifts except for my three kids. Then I gave up on Christmas cards to everyone except my siblings and kids. My parents and grandparents are gone. My kids grown. Now I depend on them to help me with bills so I can keep the paid-off house. They get homemade cookies and treats along with love, gratitude and Christmas Spirit. Santa was a saint, Saint Nicholas of Turkey, a real person who inspired the original Santa Claus stories, which have been cheerfully expanded upon due to our human need for creativity. Christmas is about love. We have that, we have everything.
