Christmas Valley Sand Dunes & Cowboy Dinner Tree adventure - Overlanding with our Oru Truck Camper

After a relaxed summer camping in familiar places Tessa planned a birthday trip for Dylan that would get us back to our adventuring ways. In this video we finally eat at the famous Cowboy Dinner Tree restaurant outside of Silver Lake Oregon. The next day we haded over to the Christmas Valley Sand Dunes to put our 2016 Tundra to the test. Finally we took a wrong turn on our way to explore Oregon's Lost Ponderosa Forest.
The Cowboy Dinner Tree is a real Oregon Outback institution. For meat eaters out there we highly recommend making (a required) reservation to enjoy an oversized meal at this historic location. You can learn more at: cowboydinnertree.com

Great video! My family and I went to Big Hole, Hole In The Ground, and Fort Rock last summer. I guess we'll need to keep going a little further in the future.

How do you guys like the Oru so far? I went to their HQ yesterday. They were nice enough to invite me to visit their shop during Black Friday.

Overall we’re very happy with it! Have had a few small issues, mostly with seals and some cosmetic imperfections… but the overall build is solid. Hard walls are a game changer, the mattress they use is best in class and setup/takedown is a breeze. We’re planning to upload a 6 month review in the next month or so.
