Pixles and only pixels makes my job easy I was an incandescent and led lighter for a long time trying different things with lights to get multiple colors blinking on off.🤦🏾♂️ Then I was introduced to pixels 🤯 I can do everything I want and more in one string vs 4-5 strings all wrapped together. Love this hobby and all of the improvements over the years.

I get ya, Steve. The more we add, the more we need the convenient option. Less work = more dazzle! I'd do pixels or mapping if I were starting out.

I am working on a Static/traditional/victorian display. It is going to use a walking trail through a 6-acre woods around my house. It's a labor of love. I spend a little more each year to expand it. Maybe before I die it will be done. LOL. Who am I kidding we make them bigger every year. God Bless love the channel.

Very cool, Steve! Hey, make certain you take a video of that and send it in to me (ChristmasOnCrestline@gmail.com) for this year's Fan Appreciation Awards. Last year, we had six of our contestants move on to ABC's The Great Christmas Light Fight and one of them was a walk-through display that was all done my a 16 year-old. Send in the video and you just never know who you'll inspire and where it will lead. Merry Christmas in July!

Pixels.. all pixels and some static in the back yard! To me static and pixels are the sweet spot! Can’t. Get. Enough. I can look at static and pixels displays daily and never get tired of it haha

True. I enjoy static a ton. I mean, Monte's and Scott's homes are just dynamite each year in my FAA contest!

I have static, but am starting from scratch. Some my fault, some Florida's some the fire. lol

I've been doing computerized. I make all my props. I design all my motion beat by beat. I would love to add some pixels but then I would need a lot of help programming.

I’m a mix of static lights, computerized display and pixel show. I’m looking to add projections into this. Just call me Mr. Eclectic. Hey…maybe I could build a KZbin channel around that.😅
@ChristmasOnCrestline4 ай бұрын
Heck yes you can, Tony! That would indeed fill a hole in our Niche. No one else is doing a year round channel about integrating static, computerized, and projection mapping...you'd own that corner of the market! That's be awesome to see you do it!

5 types? what about Interactive displays and something you dont do, Poertable displays? DRONES DONT COUNT! Come on. Really $10k for 1 drone? come on . Charlie! for 10 k i can build a pop up display tha we take to the commuity. Im pretty sure you dont understand.
@ChristmasOnCrestline4 ай бұрын
Yep, 10K per drone is what they told me when I interviewed them back in February. Interactives could be a 6tth but you don't see a ton of them in residential displays. If you had it at your home, I would consider it as residential but since you mostly to destination displays, I don't think that fits into this residential category.

@@ChristmasOnCrestline by interactive I mean things like sleighs and photo props selfies. Or letting people give their teddy bears a ride on a prop. Touchable inflatables.
