Just revisited this after your video about meeting Christopher. It’s clear there was a connection from the very first reaction to his music. So cool.

Like everyone else, I got such a kick out of your reaction when you first heard Michael McDonald. Back in the day, we were the same. 🤣

Here is a little tidbit I bet most of you don't know...... Christopher Cross started a long time ago in the early to mid 1970s playing with a Houston local band named Heather Black at Village Inn Pizza Parlor on Market Square in downtown Houston. When I was in high school we all used to go drink beer, eat pizza and dance to them until 2 am in the morning. It was one of several places in Houston that didn't check IDs and had great live music....LOL... Heather Black was so good that almost every high school in Houston had them play at their proms and at school dances....We sure did. I guess we weren't the only people who liked his singing.....Around 1979 he got a record deal, left Heather Black and released his first "bigtime" album....and the rest was history......Grammys....Acadamy awards.....yadda...yadda....yadda. Guess everyone's gotta start somewhere??

Christopher Cross is a Texas musician - - I have seen your Stevie Ray Vaughan reactions - did you know that the beat up guitar that SRV called #1 was once owned by Christopher Cross?

Listen to his song, “Sailing”. It’s a nice slow song. 💕

Check out Toto's "I'll Be Over You." Michael McDonald sings backup on that one, and even appeared in the video!
