Laurie prendergast was the one who shot drury. Him & flannery used to switch up hits so the alibi’s worked out. Flannery was at a night club when drury was shot.

There are a few I’ve read about. One was that it was on George Freeman’s orders so there could be no payback. George wrote in his book about an attempted hit on him by Flannery’s mates a week after the disappearance. Another is that Russell Cox killed him after a dispute about money. Another is it was payback by the Kane brothers associates after the murder of Les Kane. We’ll probably never know because he had a LOT of dangerous enemies.

@@cameron2003 there’s been talk that Laurie banged out mick drury. I always thought it was Roger but Laurie and rent a kill used to swap up jobs so the alibis worked out. The night drury got hit, flannery was at a night club. A bloke on Reddit said Laurie got dropped in the ocean with a stove like Brian Alexander. I feel like with Stan knocking flannery on orders at George’s house, laurie had to go. Wouldn’t be surprised if laurie got knocked by Stan. But I dunno
