This is just soo beautiful. Brings me to tears. I dance too but my balance isn't great so dancing solo is sadly out. What an empathy these two have together.❤.

Romeo and Juliet indeed. This is So beautiful. A magnificent show. A romantic calm waltz. Interpretation of music unique. One of the finest waltzes ever. An eternal masterpiece.

You are looking at one of the finest dance partnerships there has ever been, pure MAGIC, a paring made in heaven, just sit back and reflect on what they could have ultimately achieved, had they syayed together, I feel cheated.IT DOES NOT COME BETTER THAN THIS, [have a look at their foxtrot routines], LOVE IT.

A time when exaggerated theatrics were not needed. Such a delicate, well-intentioned and restrained choreography. No dance, that I have seen, combines the message of the music and the music itself in such a pristine manner. Exquisite. Sublime. The epitome of what dance - especially the waltz - can be.
wow, magnificent. Its Pure magic,I love it. J'en ai le souffle coupé

They were the best couple ever. It is sad they stopped dancing together.

I completely agree with all the comments below and above. While both Hilton and Barrichi are as technical as good as them but I think there had this poetic quality that comes from their soul as if they are baring it. They were completely in sync with each other but as their relationship suffered they became out of sync with each other. This routine at WSS especially strike a chord in my heart by the musicality. The song varies in BPM and they danced all of it. No filler at all!

This dance lives even in 2020. And this song. A waltz of beauty.

For me there is such clarity of movement to music. The division of power on best 1, with lift on 2@3 with speed in rotation, and such control of balance. Doesn’t really get much better than this.

Finally found the music, it's a version of the song by David Davidson, from the album Silver Screen Classics, I think. But the original version I found is much slower, and they managed to speed it up without distorting the audio quality and I can't, for the life of me, figure it out...it's maddening!

i haven't seen your reply until 10 yrs later. if you want to see how the music speeded up. here it is kzbin.info/www/bejne/nn2xZJ2Ln62jers

Incredible performance...I wish those two were still dancing together!! But on another note, I've been looking for this version of that theme forever, and can't find it. It's not Mancini, nor Rieu, nor the original Nino Rota. Any ideas!?

I know it was 10 years ago you asked. I found the version for you. It is David Davidson version. Shazam helped…

@zan1828 I completely agree. While I think the Hilton's and Barrichi's are on par with Hawkins and Newberry but I think their dancing has some magical quality to it. Can't tell you why but it is there. One thing I do notice is that their dancing suffered as their personal relationship crumpled. Look at their earlier dancing versus the later ones and you will see.
