If you want a portrait of a gentleman who is brave, manly, brilliant, well spoken, proud and refined but still appreciative and without pompous vanity, look no further than Christopher Lee. Born a century ago, there won't be another like him for another century at least.

However I can't help but feel Christopher would have been the best sherlock much like in my opinion Jeremy Brett is as things stand the closest we have had to what conan doyal had in vision for sherlock. Intense, intelegent, and a little menacing cold but not without heart humor or humanity even misunderstood all this and more Lee would have aced but alas not to be.
