This is beautiful! Unfortunately, I can’t keep an indoor pond-it would turn into a giant dog/cat water bowl. Lol. Can’t wait to see Gerald’s new setup!

Make one just for them to drink from with a filter ❤ like a fountain maybe can put some live catnip and grass they can chew on
@blowitoutyourcunt76757 ай бұрын
My cat never bothered my fish and she never got sick from drinking out of the fish tank/pond which she seemed to prefer. Add it to that the vet said it was okay....
@c0d3r1f1c6 ай бұрын
@@NekoNebula1313That’s a nice idea. I used to have one of the off-the-shelf cat fountains, but it gunked up really fast and was a big pain to clean. I wonder if an aquarium filter + plants would clean the water better.

This is really nice aquascape and i think you should attach some java moss on the pvc pipe to hide it and to make it look natural.

Wow!!! Those momma guppies are major preggers!!! You'll need to put some kind of plant in the water so the baby fry can hide so they don't get eaten!
@fifthdayaquatics86903 жыл бұрын
The frogbit roots will grow up to two inches in the first week and that will give baby fry good places to hide
@thefrugalaquarist30683 жыл бұрын
Beautiful, I hope the guppies enjoy their new home. I'd put some submerged plants for them, java moss for the babies, etc.

One thing I’m trying to figure is the filter. I don’t like the filter down below because the roots of the plants might overtake it in time. But it’s interesting where you put it.

What you should do is put a little more substrate in and put in underwater plants like hornwort which can grow tall and hide baby fish well so there’s a higher survival rate

Main mistake : no substrate. So you have almost no bio filtration
@SirenaSpades2 жыл бұрын
Disagree. In fact, he has some at the bottom. But he also has the planting cloth which is huge - it will grow algae and biomedia, along with plant roots, and the gridding. Of course the walls of the planter themselves.
@HenriDar2 жыл бұрын
@@SirenaSpades That is nothing compared to a real bio filtration surface, that is present everywhere in nature so azote cycle can be complete.
