Chris, I just wanted to drop you a note to express my gratitude for your well-thought out and well-presented Lian Li build videos. I just built my second PC (previous one was 6 years ago) and I relied heavily on your videos. I watched your presentation over and over to make sure I fully understood what goes where and in what order. You were a life-saver for sure! The last thing I wanted to do was plug it in and here something go wrong or fry some component. Instead, I hit the power button and it fired right up. Keep up the great work and thanks again for your calm, reasoned presentation.

You can turn your AIO so that hoses are on the bottom which will eliminate any possible noise and create a more positive coolant flow without possibility of air cavitation.
@saxonwarrior388 Жыл бұрын
Great job! PS You don't really need screen at the top or behind the AIO fans since they are exhausting. I personally set my AIO fans to intake since it created a more positive air flow cooling condition in my case. I am using the exact same case with the same fan configuration and an ATX MB.

I'm looking forward to building in to mine some time next week. I'll be transplanting most of my setup from an NR200 (picking up an ATX board). Don't get me wrong, I like the NR200 but vanity sometimes gets the best of me and I want to be able to look at and admire something I've built rather than just a perforated black box... which performs excellent. I don't have much but I can have a nice looking PC! The only deviation I'll be making (as you pointed out) is flipping the AIO so it's drawing in fresh air (in push/pull). It's unfortunate that I'll have to look at more exhaust side of fans but as a person who owns three cats I generally do my best to go with positive pressure. I'm not that concerned about GPU thermals since that'll be fed mostly fresh air from the bottom and even though I am sure other components might see a slight uptick in temperatures (such as the VRM and M.2s) it's more or less inconsequential with this board due to its robust design. I could also reverse the top fans as intakes and turn the rear and AIO fans as an exhaust too... that could be interesting...

Hello Christopher, I'm planning on a build using the UNI fans and the O11 Dynamic Mini case, I've got one thing bugging me that I'm not sure about: Is there any way I can connect both the pump RGB header and the 2 UNI fans from the AIO RGB header into the fan controller's group 4 for RBG handling? Is there something like a splitter for these Lian Li RGB headers that could fix this issue? Asking because the motherboard I'm currently stuck with doesn't have any ARGB header. Thank you for the awesome and extremely detailed video, as well as for your response :)

It doesn't really matter if you do a push or a pull or even push pull config on water cooling. The different is minimal, not enough to warrant doing it one way or another. At least according to experts who have done the testing on KZbin. I think it was Linus Tech Tips channel.

@daviniarobbins9298 Жыл бұрын
I really like this case. Much cheaper than something similar by Corsair. The only thing that lets it down is that you can't fit a standard ATX PSU in it which means another expense in having to buy a new PSU. I guess that is why it is only half the price of Corsair's cube case.

Great video and great build! One question. If you were doing an intake push/pull for the radiator, so 4 fans in total taking in air (2 on back and 2 on front), where would you plug the 4 fans in? I'm asking because I only have one CPU_FAN header on my case, and my AIO is plugged into it with nzxt fans. The other 2 uni fans on the front are plugged into the uni hub, but this is probably not the right way to do it.

I'm confused with the Rad fans. Why not just plug them into the Uni Hub? Is this because PC requires CPU_FAN1 to be used otherwise it won't boot up right? So you used a splitter and plugged the 2 Rad fans into the CPU_FAN1 header? DId the splitter come with the AIO?

Installing the ATX bracket was extremely hard and very annoying. I think I was unlucky and got a bad one because when you put the screws in the video it was seamless. Meanwhile mine was close to impossible to screw. Thankfully after more than an hour of trying I managed to screw 3 out of 4 screws but the 4th screw (in the middle of bracket) is basically impossible to go through. The bracket is still stable with just 3 screws and mounting the ATX board was easy enough but damn that was so annoying to deal with.
