@@ChristopherKellum Makes me remember my graduation 28 long years ago, in Atlanta, so you know the airline I work for, and let me tell you darling, that feeling when they pinned those wings on me, was euphoric, never felt anything like that. And I'm so glad you choose this carrer, even though its changed drastically over the years, you still have respect where as a lot of young new Flight Attendants have the attitude that because of their youth they should have instant seniority, you have to work for that, and I can tell by watching your videos you will climb that ladder quick. Welcome to the industry Darling. Give all you've got my dear Kellum. Heck I'm probably old enough to be your grandmother.

Im not sure about living in puerto rico, but I do work with someone who commutes from puerto rico to boston when he has to work, so it is possible, i believe its 18 years or older, you have to pass all the interviews and then you will get an invite to jetblue university to complete training

These videos have me sooo excited!! I have a Blue Review next month in LGB! I was wondering about how long reserve is for a JFK based crew member? Also, Ive heard LGB was pretty senior. About how long would it take to be based there? Any advice for the Blue Review is appreciated as well. Thank you!!
@ChristopherKellum6 жыл бұрын
The word around town is the quickest spots to get a line will be BOS or JFK, time frame not sure but I have heard an average of a year on reserve. LGB is pretty senior yes, and it all depends on the time you come in there may be spots open, but most likely your first base will be JFK,BOS or eve FLL but it is possible to get LGB, i just met a girl who did LGB her first 2 years but left because its hard to get off reserve there. and I am going to post a video this week on how to do well and stand out in your interview! be on the look out !

yay! CONGRATULATIONS ! I got my CJO in Dec. , going through the pre-employment process before getting training information. But they told me since I was the last group of the year I possibly will be training in March OR April! super excited! I was also told my group will probably get based in NYC - JFK due to last groups getting all based in Boston! I am hoping this is true since I live here and would like JFK as my base. Where were you based? We were also told you need to be 3 months in your assigned base before you can put in a transfer request , but I read in one of the comments you stating someone was transferred in a month from boston to FLL?
@ChristopherKellum6 жыл бұрын
Congratulations, Stephanie!! you must be super excited, and those would be great months to stay in Orlando for training! I am currently based in BOS, it was my choice since I have family here, for you JFK would be perfect so you don't have to commute I know commuters that are on reserve and its very tough! and yeah it all depends on if there is spots open at other bases, people in my class got lucky and spots opened up in FLL so they spent one month in BOS and went to FLL after

That is awesome! i hope you got your application in and that would be the ideal situation for training although JB university is a cool spot to stay! you don't get to pick if you are AM or PM... Im not sure how they divide it up but we had a class of 75 got split into AM and PM and then the those AM and PM got split in two. let me know when you get an offer and good luck!
