Tommy and Pedro have such amazing chemistry when playing together. I see two boys just hanging out and just having the time of their lives. Truly fills my heart with joy listening and watching their performances!

I just stopped this and thanked the world for giving us this media. We are so lucky to be able to watch and hear these great people anytime we want. I for one remember the not to distant past when only a veritable handful of people in any one place would have the honor of seeing performers of this caliber. For many, including me, it was a once in a lifetime experience. Like seeing Chet live or Jim Croce just before his tragic accident. Now I only need to punch a few buttons and presto, I'm enjoying things like this. Just how damn lucky are we?

A.J. Green, this is a treat. I have always wondered if a master of one genre, finding himself as a young man again, couldn’t have become a wonderful artist in another genre. Imagine Jimi, Eric, or SRV as a classical or flamenco artist. Imagine Segovia or Bream playing blues or rock guitar. This video is about as close as we will ever get to answering those questions.

This is a completely different version, presentation, interpretation from the other video, with three Sultans, and the Bassist, and percussionist. Tommy brings out the best from whoever he plays with. He’s God’s gift to the world.

The genius is in the man who wrote it.
@erepsekahs5 жыл бұрын
@riplstrip I do not agree at all. I guess you do not play the guitar. You do realize, I hope, that for most of this it is taking 2 of them to do what he alone does......that is why it sounds so empty. There is some rhythm guitar fill but mostly it is the two of them trying to do what he alone accomplishes. I hope you also realize that he composed it and sang it.....copyists are a dime a dozen. People would pay millions to see Mozart perform.....people will pay 20 bucks to hear a copyist PLAY it just as well.
@erepsekahs5 жыл бұрын
@riplstrip HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA what a wonderful joke. As you know KNOPFLER wrote THIS that these 2 turkeys can COPY. and neither one of then can play it fluidly and clearly as he does and did..they have to share the task. Knopfler WROTE this and sang it both on record and live. You are a complete joke. I thank you for showing the IGNORANCE of a clown who cannot play the guitar....and probably any other instrument than the Pink Trombone.

@woomi1775 жыл бұрын
Isnt this technally stealing his song
@chazspleen5 жыл бұрын
@@woomi177 Nope. Its called respect. Something many talented musicians and composers will never get. Saw Tommy Emanuel in 2009. He opened the show with a scorching version of Mason Williams' Classical Gas. I've seen Mason do it live before, too, but Tommy took it to the stratosphere. That's love and that's respect. Tommy is a humble musician who takes pieces from great composers and spins them into tapestries of his own ferocious playing. Its a type of collaboration. Not stealing. Stealing, is vanilla ice biting off a riff written by Queen's Bassist John Deakon and claiming that he wrote it himself.
