One third of my favorite trio growing up and watching wrestling. Too Cool was so much fun, and Scotty is such a down to earth dude. They raise them right up in Maine! Hope he finds success out in the independents, he's too good of a dude not to. Great interview as always CVV!

I absolutely LOVE Scotty 2 Hotty! I'll never forget watching the Royal Rumble at MSG when Too Cool and Rikishi stopped and did their post match dance mid rumble. The fans went absolutely nuts and the one thing that stands out to me, is that Too Cool never really talked on the mic or did promos backstage all that much and got insanely over and that's incredibly hard to do. They let their in ring actions and entertainment/dancing do the talking for them. The dancing, the slow clap to before the match by Scotty to get the crowd involved, all of those small things I remember to this day. Thank you Scotty 2 Hotty and Too Cool for making my childhood rock!

Y’know something….I’d never even considered that about them rarely talking on the mic 🤯 I can’t even think of a time that I can remember them cutting a promo. That’s a really cool observation man 👍

What said about "moments" is absolutely true. Whether it is in professional wrestling, or a different form of entertainment, the moments are what people remember. I went to an outdoor show by a band that was well known at the time, and there were easily 15,000 people at this show. I was near the front, and very close to one of the speakers. I had to cover my ears due to the volume. At one point in the show, the lead singer covered one of his ears, pointed at me, and smiled. I don't remember what songs they played or anything else about the show, but I still remember that moment 25 years later. The moments are what matter, and I hope that modern wrestlers will rediscover that.

I remember Too Cool's entrance and how interactive they were with fans. Loved the whole bit about creating moments! As someone who just attended my first live event last year (and quickly added 3 more before the end of 2020), I can honestly say I make it a point to not be on my phone for the majority of the night. While I might snap a quick photo or video here or there, I try to just watch and soak in the moment. At one show I was 2nd row and someone in 1st row had their phone recording for honestly the majority of the night and their eyes were just glued to the screen and it felt so odd because they're literally as close as possible to the action but still opting to watch it all through the scope of their phone. Thanks again for another great interview, Chris! I truly appreciate it!

Great to see such a positive interview. So many former stars are so cynical and jaded or physically and mental broken by the business. I saw Scotty several years ago at a tiny indy in NJ in front of maybe 50 people. He was super nice, put on a great show and genuinely seemed to enjoy himself. Contrast that with Jimmy Snuka on the same show completely broken down and could barely move. He must have been almost 80 and had to be carried through a match by some Bossman knock off just to get a paycheck.

I don’t remember a King Booker match, but I remember his character and promos “Thaddeus” “Jerome” “Summerslam games” etc! 🙌🏾 Well done, Chris 👏🏾

Great conversation Chris. Scotty seems like such a good dude! Very happy for him to go out on his own. Feels like while still loved by fans, the comedy/fun wrestlers & groups of the past are still under appreciated. Not everyone can be main event or world champion material, but it's just like what Scotty said, gotta make moments that will stick with the audience. And he & TooCool certainly did that!

Good Saturday evening to you and Happy New Year to you and your family friends and loved ones. Reply: I love this interview as well it's timing in the sequence of current events in wrestling. I'm happy that Scotty 2 Hotty is on the road to some incredible possibilities with his wrestling career. Honestly, I am equally happy he took the stance he did. As with Big Swole in comparison, I come to appreciate one's courage to say and do the things that are not popular. Where it relates to speaking truth to power and using their platform to illuminate the problems in professional wrestling that exists. It is not a popular thing to speak on, but when people muster up the courage to not be bullied. Contained nor discredited, they take an even bigger step towards others who may not generally see the underbelly and underlining issues surrounding them. So I appreciate your interview here as a huge step towards all of that.
