Yeah, that challenge is probably the hardest on the fort excluding the Library challenge & another one named Fils a plomb in the French is also one of the hardest. Although one person completed it in the Jodie Penfold era & the Ultimate Challenge version

They cut that fine at the end, this is probably the closest we got to someone being locked in the treasure room. Of course there's no way they would have let the tigers in but I always wondered what would have happened if a contestant was locked in.

I guessing if anyone did get locked-in the Treasure Chamber there would be a penalty in the gold they collected or even they would leave with absolutely nothing like they did in later versions

It happened in the Russian version. Gold was lost and the contestant took an emergency exit

I don't think there's anyone in this version who got locked in the treasure room, but in 1990 in the first French series, someone got locked inside & managed to exit via the Underwater Cellars. Also, in the 2006 Russian duel version, one contestant managed to exit via to Sacrifice dungeon.

These are obtained by succeeding at Boyard's challenges, or by answering correctly the riddle set by the professor he keeps locked in the watchtower. But getting the keys is only the beginning...

They had 5 clues and they still had to make a sacrifice, that's nearly as bad as Series 3 Episode 4

Well to be a bit fair I think this is another case of the clues being too vague. While not as bad as WEDDING from season 2 and OFFICE from this season none of the 5 clues stood out as clenchers for the password. Then again they took so long sorting themselves out it probably wouldn't have mattered either way.

@@MrJJLincoln90 Mind you, it is a bit similar to S3E13, where the clues were Crew & Frost, & the password was GROUND. The clues didn't make me think of GROUND as the password. I feel like they just gave it to them because the producers felt for them after Keith got sacrificed.

The Password was FLIGHT The Clues were, TOP From The Riddle, as in TOP FLIGHT NIGHT as in NIGHT FLIGHT DECK as in FLIGHT DECK PATH as in FLIGHT PATH CREW as in FLIGHT CREW The Extra Clue, was CHARTER, as in CHARTER FLIGHT The Password was...FLIGHT

The Firemen & Fire-Women were good at The Ordeals, but they almost lost it in The Treasure Room where it counts the most, they didn't have any idea what The Password was until they made a sacrifice & then when it came to Spelling The Password they were just as disorganized as (S4E7), then when it came to collecting The Gold they nearly left it far too late & spilt a lot in their attempts to get once last load They may be good at Physical Challenges, but their Teamwork & Organization especially in The Treasure Room was POOR

I don't know why Boyard put 1 key in the safe in the Kayaking ordeal. Either because: He wanted to be kind for once OR They made it easier for Series 4 since it was failed a few times in Series 2 & 3

I think in Series 4, Channel 5 were almost determined to have every team win, and they would've got that wish if S4E7 hadn't screwed up in The Treasure Chamber

I did notice that for the Kayak Ordeal this series they had 2 MINUTES To Collect 2 BASKETS, in Series 1-3 they had 3 MINUTES To Collect 3 BASKETS, so perhaps it was balanced out still

@@davidfearis7335In Series 1, the Jodie Penfold series & the French they had 3.30, which is more time to collect the baskets, pull the rope, & unlock the safe. Probably the reason why Layne from S1E4 succeeded in that adventure.
