Thanks for the tips! The result I get with the edge paint I bought is way too shiny for me. I've been trying a couple of coats of black tokonole with some fine sanding in between for a more matted result. However, I have no idea how durable the tokonole way is compared to edge paint.

What are the better edge paints for leather (chrome and veg)? Brands? Where to buy?Thanks
@TikalLeatherPatterns Жыл бұрын
I use Angelus acrylic paint for chrome leather and Waproo leather day for vegtan, this is an Australian brand. Fiebing’s is also very popular. Where to buy? Check your local store or google them and choose the website that suits you best. Good luck.

nice video and project but this is definitely not chrome tanned leather. you cant bevel soft stretchy chrome tanned leather. it might be combination tanned or maybe very thick and firm chrome tanned (never saw anything like it) i am not experienced enough to tell 100% what it is. But it is very misleading clickbait title and absolutely impossible to do with regular chrome tanned leather (used for liner, bags or anything). That is why most of the time the only option with chrome tanned leather is edge paint (but very different process) rolled edges, edge biding or piping, or french seams (turned inside out). 🤥🤥🤥🤔🐂💩

@@TikalLeatherPatterns that’s amazing, I’d love to have chrome tanned leather that behaved like that! All mine is dyed through and through and is too “spongy” to bevel and mushrooms from slicker (and dremel etc). I’m a little jealous ;-)
