For a sample volume (water) of 250mL or higher, do we use the same cartridge, and which is the most suitable for PFAS extraction?

Can we wash the column and re use it? At least for the same chemical?

Is the cartridge can be used after extract one sample? If can, how we wash it?

What organic solvent would you recommend using if carrying out SPE on water samples spiked with Glyphosate with the aim of retaining glyphosate in the cartridge?

Also, what pressure is the vacuum manifold usually set at?

@Tamunoemi Braide The video uses HyperSep C18 cartridges, but glyphosate is very polar and will not retain well on C18. We have a method for glyphosate in water using Verify-AX cartridges on page 47 of the HyperSep application notebook (assets.thermofisher.com/TFS-Assets/CMD/Application-Notes/ai-brccsspeapbook-hypersep-columns-aibrccsspeapbook-en.pdf). Find our HyperSep Verify AX cartridges here: www.thermofisher.com/order/catalog/product/60108-727

Solvent wash to remove interferences - Purpose: To wash the stationary phase using an intermediary solvent to remove impurities bound less strongly to the sorbent than the compounds of interest. Please note the wash step does not refer to washing a used cartridge to be used again, SPE cartridges should not be re-used for multiple samples. • Select a wash solvent that is strong enough to remove the interferences, but weak enough to leave the compounds of interest behind • Selectively rinse away the less strongly bonded interferences • Wash solvent selected according to phase mechanism and analyte properties (a typical wash solution may contain less organic or inorganic salt than the final eluent) Further information is available here www.thermofisher.com/uk/en/home/industrial/chromatography/chromatography-sample-preparation/sample-preparation-consumables/solid-phase-extraction-consumables/spe-guide.html

Pretty sure that usage may not be proper, and the real application is completely different, but is Thermo Scientific.
