Beverly is being absolutely destroyed by development. Giant apartment buildings being put up everywhere with no infrastructure to support them. Historic buildings are being bought by developers and left to rot, so they can tear them down and skirt by the historic preservation society, for more overpriced apartments. The roads have been deteriorating for over 20 years without repair. But tell me more about how wonderful beverly is. ;)

I reached out to Ted Reinstein when this story was rebroadcast and echoed your sentiments. He was nice enough to get back to me but I doubt Chronicle will cover that side of the story.

For the record, Frank closed up shop in our "booming city" and relocated to Somerville...one of several new businesses located in these new apartments that went out of business. Is my hometown not ready for prime time?
