@@bostonplace2314 I used to live in Swampscott right on King's Beach. The stench was unbearable at times.

Was there often in the 1960’s. Lots of memories of Revere Beach, Kelly’s and the Cyclone.

Thanks for the video. Enjoyed the beach as a kid (grandparents lived off Shirley Ave.). Played in youth basketball on a team sponsored by Kelly’s RB. Worked at Danny’s Long Dogs in the early 70’s. Amusements were mostly gone by then, only the food stands & beach bars remained. Left for California a few years before the blizzard hit.

Does anyone remember Roger’s Pizza? He had a walk in only pizzeria located before Bill Ash and Anna’s? He was from Napoli and to this day I felt his pizza was the very best ever.

#KellysRoastBeef is #NewEngland...but a word of warning to anyone franchising in #Illinois: #Portillos and #BuonaBeef are as #Illinois as Abe Lincoln, Da Bears, and high taxes. You'll have tough inroads here as we already have quintessential Midwest roast beef (and related food: hot dogs, beer, hamburgers, etc). Midwesterners dislike seafood, in general, so the clam strips and fried haddock won't sell enough to warrant your shipping them here. How do I know all this? Lifelong MA NH guy, mired in Chicagoland for 20 years. #RevereBeach Cheers! 🍺

It looks nice in this video but I remember visiting Revere and Boston back in 2011. I drove by the beach and even though there were many elderly folks at the beach, I somehow was struck by an eerie feeling that the place isn't exactly safe. I had people tell me that crazy things do go on in Revere and I'd have to be keep my guard up the entire time.

It is. I hadn't been there in decades and went last summer. Place was an armpit. I found a syringe in the sand not far from where I had my hand. We are devolving into being a Third World shit hole faster every day.
