Bethany is simply brilliant. This interview exhibits her intellect and ability to call balls and strikes in the worlds of finance, business, politics, and society. She’s also honest to a fault. More journalists and business writers should be like her.

Anyone who believes and quotes gov't propaganda like "official statistics" from the 1984 style Ministry of Truth is a sheeple -- FAR from brilliant. 🐑

Appreciate you guys having Bethany on. It is great to have someone ready, willing and able to make points that others are afraid or uncomfortable to discuss. Not only have we broken confidence and trust, but the divide that has been created is jeopardizing any semblance of balance we have. Great interview.

Dan said “I mean ya know what I mean?” approx 27x this ep, fyi. I defended him once but he seems to be blissfully unaware of the issue despite all the negative feedback. My advice to him is to get screened for ADHD immediately. A stimulant medication like Adderall could possibly enable him to slow down and avoid interrupting others and running on and on with the run-ons. It’s hard for those who don’t have ADHD to understand that seemingly rude, inconsiderate behavior such as talking over others or frequently being late for appointments, are the result of neuroanatomical underdevelopment in the executive functions. They can be managed through meds and increased accountability. But that requires an awareness of the nature of the problem. (Most ADHDers feel every bit as shitty about their behavior as others would like them to feel, but that doesn’t fix the issue because it’s not a matter of willpower/responsibility/ethics.) 🙏

Thank you for saying a President shouldn't be given so much credit either way for the economy. We accept that the FED policy works with long and variable lags but we expect Presidential policy to be immediate. It's a dissonance I'm surprised higher level financial thinkers don't catch more often.

You knew immediately when they put musk on the chopping block For the 397th time. Twitter only sucks to liberals that liked better when the govt controlled it. Looking back on the pandemic, let’s not forget the censorship of some brilliant scientists and drs on Twitter. Everyone has their views. I still do research on what happened and the cover up still gojng on.

Also "when Twitter was still relevant." Number 1 app download last year, if I recall correctly. People need to compartmentalize their politics and not let it infect other areas of their life, particularly when their job is analysis and producing public communications.

The host and Bethany misunderstand monetary policy. This is evident from the use of the "sucking" analogy when referring to interest on treasuries. The facts are that foreign nations, hedge funds, etfs, and regular folks own treasuries. Meaning higher interest on treauries = higher payments to treasury holders = stimulus ("pumping" to go along with the analogy). This is a common mistake from those unfamiliar with monetary operations.
