I love how Yasunori Mitsuda treats the Chrono Trigger theme in various of his songs. You can hear it here in 'Fields Of Time', 'Dreams Of The Ages', 'Chronomantic', all from Chrono Cross, and in 'Memories Of Green' and of course 'Chrono Trigger', from the first game of the saga. @rileyboy103 жыл бұрын
@@Sealdeam I think the issue for me personally, as someone who views chrono trigger as their favourite game of all time. Cross just felt lackluster all around, there is plenty to love about it and i think it would've done better had it not been a sequal and was a stand alone title. Because for a sequal it does a poor job, 90% of the game you have no idea its even connected to the first game at all then out of nowhere they drop it on you but by that point I was more annoyed I had to wait so long. And even then they massively over complicated the story of the first game with everything they added, and it didn't need that. One of the best things about Chrono trigger to me is that it's story is straight forward and doesn't require a wiki to understand. Even after completing cross the first time I still wasn't sure entirely how the two games were connected. It had a good premise, the whole idea that lavos which was buried in the planet for such a long time pretty much screwed so many other timelines by getting rid of it essentially Crono and gang tried to save the world and they did, but also kind of messed it up in the process was really cool, but they could've executed better I feel. All the stuff with lynx and everything else just felt meh because all trigger fans wanted was the reveal of how the games were connected and what happened after the first game. And it takes so long before you get any of that.

One of the original games where you actually had choices that had far far reaching consequences in the game and the timeline in general. Loved this game, played it like 3 times over in my single digit days. Another thing was that it was always different through various progressions cause you had so many allies to choose from that had their own story. Allies that you could recruit or that wouldn't join you cause you already secured the allegiance of someone else.

Waking up on a beach on a heavenly island, waves of the ocean are touching my foots, sun is burning my skin.. Breathing the fresh air of the world makes me smile. This is what this song is for me.

This music reminds me of Chrono trigger even tho both games were one of a kind. Nostalgia hits me like a rock to the head whenever I come back to this 🖤

I love the synth line as the intro, you could build that into its own track as well

I’m so glad I played the Chrono series this year. Both are drastically different games, but their worlds and music hold a special place in my heart.

Was cross good enough?
@SlickMarioBrothers2 жыл бұрын
@@omarfaruktusher1942 Cross gameplay wise is completely different. But once you get used to it, it’s actually kind of fun. The story too seems all over the place, but the further you get, the more connections you make. I would be lying if I said Cross is as good as Trigger, but Cross is definitely worth a go!

This will sound really corny but, I'm not getting any younger. I was thinking walking home from work, there's a lot of thing life will and has taken from me. Music like this is one of those things they can never take from me.

I think those thoughts are helpful. It's an important thing to realise that time is short.

@@thelastsidewalk the hardest part of growing up is knowing the only reason you feel out of touch is because your perception of reality narrows until it is as finite as the infitesimal, ie watching your parents grow old after mourning there's. Not recent but, on my mind.

Such beautiful music! I remember playing this back in 2000 around the time it first came out. Such an amazing game. I am 29 now. I am thinking about playing it again; if not just for the beautiful music. Chrono Trigger was amazing as well.
