Chrono Cross OST Burning Orphanage Extended

Yet again here with another extension. Same as the other extensions, no one has ever extended this so I randomly learned from a fellow extension...extender guy (sounds totally wrong but I'll go with it). Just wanna say this is my best extension so far (still not perfected but it's getting there).

Have them watch the full game scenario in context, including it’s ending, then they might understand how this makes us feel. Desperate, alone (losing party members constantly), frantic, fighting to save the life of a dear friend from the middle of a raging storm.

Best sequence in the game. Sad and brilliant. Would like to have seen Frog and Magus’s drawings tho. If you look closely, the two drawings on the wall you can’t get a close up of actually could be them, based on color scheme.

Me and sis played this as kids. She’s afraid of this scene till this day..we are both in our thirties now 🤣🤣🤣

Your sister is totally justified for feeling this way, both as a child and especially as an adult. We are a witness to the source of someone’s trauma and it can be scarring (the last scene outside the orphanage). And yet after we the player unpacked that baggage in Kid’s mind she is still oblivious, suppressing the event. At least for me, it’’s even more impactful in my 30s, I didn’t fully grasp the tragedy of this scenario tapping into existential adult fears as a teenager.

I wasn't a big fan of this game but this track stuck with me. It perfectly captures the emotion of rushing to try to save whom you can, while knowing everything else is doomed, and if you don't move fast, so are you. Not a great game... but a great soundtrack.

Mitsuda kinda nailed it with the soundtrack, as usual. As for the game, yeah. I just wish it didn't have that name attached to it, kind of its biggest sin
