Best cover of this song. Finally somebody catches the real instruments for this song
@boriswolfsoul66295 жыл бұрын
@Lavos well, you have a point. In that version, the reverberation is, maybe, a little bit exaggerated, but is still a great one remake. Perhaps I didn't notice what the principal instrument (in that version) is that thing what make the song magical and somewhat from India. Now both version seem magical. Thanks and take your great upvote

95 or more use mobile phones and they use them as a (gasp) phone! you know ring ring hello? If they do any surfing at all it's for shopping and banking which is why 99 percent of the web is advertising now compared to 10 years ago. It's what the majority of phone users (mainly targeted to women in their 20s who don't know any better nor care). Many places have ripped and are in the processing of ripping landline wires. In 2004 new parts for landlines were no longer made, What we all have is warehouse stock left over from genric parts.

Between TRO and Blake Robinson, it's a toss-up which version of Corridors of Time I like better because they're so similar yet subtly different. I think I like TRO's sitar and choir samples better, though. The sitar has more sustain and reverb, so it feels more lush and vibrant. The choir has more portamento between the notes, which makes it sound more like natural human voices. Blake Robinson has the better bonang, though. Why not a collab effort some day? Best of both worlds. Hee hee hee!

This is one of two covers I’ve heard of this song that doesn’t replace the sitar with a guitar and the vibraphone(?) with a piano. And the other one replaced the sitar with a guitar and the vibraphone(?) with another guitar.

Hi. Can you do a request for me Lavos? Will you PLEAAAAAASSSE go to BOTW and kill off the 'I'll strike it rich and rub it in everyone's faces' guy? He is SO sick in the head and messed up! Free spoiler: He never leaves that stupid broken wagon. While your at it can you buy EVERY banana off that one Yiga guy and see what happens? He looks like a Hylian with no name (a homeless bum) and will offer you an insane amount of them to buy.

Really nice remake. What did you use for the bell type arpeggio and drums? I can't seem to find any good tablas.
@timerockorchestra8 жыл бұрын
The tabla is from a Kontakt library called Sitar Nation. The "bell" sounds are a celesta. The library is called Duclitone Celesta. :)

I wonder if Zeal had air conditioning? We are having the high pressure from hell out of nowhere creating temps threatening 100F and it's not appearing to go away. It's all being manipulated as there is no forcing that should support such weather with the coming La Nina.
@officialmodsound9 жыл бұрын
curious what vst did you use for the bells?
@timerockorchestra9 жыл бұрын
It's a celesta library for Kontakt called Dulcitone Celesta. They sampled a celesta from 1910. It sounds awesome and some notes on certain velocities even have the mechanical sound of the hammers moving inside. I used the same library for The Day the World Revived. I tried many celesta libraries and it is by far my favorite. :)

This is how the orchestra version ought to sound like, IMO. Other covers are great, but this feels more... authentic somehow?
@edifyguy4 жыл бұрын
It is almost exactly the same as the SNES version, with a better synthesizer, so naturally it will feel more authentic than the orchestral versions, which generally change the instrumentation significantly.

@Lavos Man I miss you! Here's a question. Where on this Snow Day map do you think Guardia would fall in how fast it closes school? (Or anything else for that matter) www.reddit.com/r/MapPorn/comments/2hs7tf/how_much_snow_it_typically_takes_to_cancel_school/ (Updated to Include Canada) See that little light blue sliver in Canada? That's Vancouver it sucks at snow and I mean it shuts down! You'd think being further north it would handle it better then Portland which I understand due to all the hills and I mean HILLS like you wouldn't believe!
@kylehill36434 жыл бұрын
@Lavos Here's what a Snow Day in Portland means. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mn6agKWkrcl-hs0 (Musical Snow Day Message) $$ Schools will be closed Students you will be freed$$. :) And in Seattle it means cars sliding backwards. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gpjSZ5p9arOhb5o Seattle Drivers vs The Snow. How well would you get up or would funny things result?

Sounds awfully like Chrono Trigger Remake Project's version. Hmm... (laugh)
@timerockorchestra8 жыл бұрын
+futureicon23 link? The only Chrono remake project that I know of (Chrono Resurrection), uses a piano instead of the Celesta, has no Tabla in it, and also replaced the Sitar by an acoustic guitar. If anything, this resembles the original sound version a lot more than that other remake.
@futureicon238 жыл бұрын
+Time Rock Orchestra Don't worry, I'm not trying to be skeptical or anything. Sorry for giving you the wrong impression XD There was, in fact, another known music remake project by bLiNd. For Corridors of Time, type "Time Cicuits extended" in YT and you can find the extended version of it in the first link. Also, www.chronocompendium.com/Term/Music_(Chrono_Trigger).html Here, you'll find most of the official and unofficial remixes and arranges here. For the ones I'm talking about, search "Chrono Trigger Remake Project" or "bLiNd" (same producers) among those music and you'll find some of it. For example, other than yours and Resurrections, my personal favorite is from CTRP's. As you can see, there are about a billion rearrangements and remixes for the Trigger music, but seemingly there are little to no proper rearrangements and remixes for Cross :/ That's why, for the longest time, I'm looking for some people who has actually gone on and did the favor for the Crosses tracks. Note: You can find more extended versions for Resurrection's, Remake Project/bLiNd's, and some other composers' on a good friend of mine called Alkahest's channel.
