Every time I re-watch this video, and the guitarist goes putting his soul into the music, I think "They are lucky they practiced with this guy, because I just dropped my jaw and whatever it was I was doing." Full stop during a performance is a no go.

Don't let anyone tell you facebook ads don't work lol. I've heard my fair share of orchestrations for this music and others but I'm enjoying this arrangement. And it's much better to actually be able to see the performance! I wish Nintendo and the Pokemon Company would sell DVDs of the prior concerts. Very awesome channel you've got here. Glad I was directed to it. Sometimes facebook stalking your every move and search turns out all right :D

Acabo de encontrar un tributo a Chrono Cross con el compositor original Yasunori Mitsuda y su banda, no tocan temas de Chrono Trigger pero los temas de Chrono Cross en versión orquestal y de la mano del compositor mismo, es sublime. Si te interesa te paso como encontrarlo.

Yeah, the guitarist really seemed to act like he was too cool for this music. Couple of odd note choices cuz he was focused on being flashy. Really dragged down the rest of the rhythm section and, in turn, the rest of the ensemble.

So good! ... Not a huge fan of the added drum and electric guitar lines in everything, though. Especially in Schala's theme, the snare line throws off the entire movement. (Not disregarding the talent of the performers. Everyone was stellar.)

Man, get y'all a guitarist who tries to make the music sound good, not one who tries (and fails) to make himself look good. Missed/wrong/unsure notes and rhythms all over the place gives the impression that he really didn't spend much time learning the music. This is my favorite game soundtrack of all time; I've arranged many of its songs for it for jazz big bands, jazz/fusion combos, and other ensembles. I really want to like this arrangement because, structurally, it's great. I just can't force myself to give it the praise it deserves because the guitarist made it about himself; the group sound paid the price.

I can tell the brass don't like each other by how out-of-tune they are. If you can't be bothered to tune with the person sitting next to you, the performance has no future.

I enjoyed the performance. A few things did stand out to me though: Trombone and horn seemed out of tune with each other? Not sure about the drum kit /w most basic beat possible as a good choice for Wind Scene really took away from the 'feel' of the piece. Transition from Frog's Theme to World Revolution was tentative and some tuning mishaps. Horns a bit flat in To Far Away Times. Please don't take these as harsh criticism. This is literally the only flaws I could hear in the entire arrangement, and I only give this feedback because this music is so important to me. You did a fantastic job. Bravo!
