I decided to make a second version of my first track! Let me know which version you prefer.

Definitely this version. That string plucking is more accurate.

Yeah, I like this one more, the instruments for the other version sound more fitting for a more spooky kind of track.

Love every bit of this. Could make anyone cry from nostalgia if this was a part of a remastered Chrono Game...

Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. It's like a key that opens a time gate back to my childhood days that I cherish so much.

It doesn't seem like you're likely around any longer, but just in case...your versions of songs are just done so well. They don't attempt to replace what once was, but instead enhance it.

This one's instruments are a lot more perceptible, but manage to not override each other, which is very nice! There's also a little more bass than the other one, which adds a little more personality to this track. In an overall, I think I prefer this version, although I could see the other one being used in some sort of area that needed another version of this track. Really loving these! Keep up the great work! :D

I only have one complaint about this video. It made me cry from how beautifully amazing it was. :') It made me remember when I was a child in the 90's, and I played this game on my super nintendo with my brother TwT those were the good days... thank you for making this piece of art, and please, please never stop continuing to make amazing pieces like this!

Oh man, this one's nicer. It's just got a little more clarity in it, I think. Everything stands out more, like a sharper image than before.

So you did all of this with real instruments? How the hell does this only have 1.4k views I call bs. People need to get off them tide pods and get on them SNES'
@timerockorchestra6 жыл бұрын
Not all real instruments. Most of it is real instrument sample librairies (each note of an instrument recorded with several velocities, variations and articulations). It sounds almost the same when it's well humanized, but doesn't take as much effort. I take the original SPC sound files, extract all the tracks seperately then transcribe everything note by note in a sequencer. Then I assign each sequence to a sample library and finish by mixing and mastering the track.

So is the current year now (year 2020) consider as 2020 AD?

It's not Wind Scene, it's "Yearnings of the Wind"
@timerockorchestra7 жыл бұрын
It's actually both. The english version name is "Yearnings of the Wind" and also sometimes called "Longing of the Wind", but when ripping the SPC file from the game the track is called "Wind Scene". It is also called "Wind Scene" on the official soundtrack CDs. If you translate the Japanese title word-for-word you get "Wind Adoration". My first version of this track was named Yearnings of the Wind, but the general KZbin consensus seems to name it Wind Scene so I named it like that too so I can attract more search results and suggested referrals.
@TheBanishedWind6 жыл бұрын
I personally think the use of "Wind Scene" on official OSTs would predate the DS version, which gives us the slightly more accurate "Yearnings Of The Wind" which, in my opinion, should be considered the true English title of the track.
