You know I can't get over this one idea that's been playing in my head since I've finished this series. But am I the only who thinks it would've been cool if while trying to escape the bad guys. Benji and the listener ended up back in the distortion zone, where while almost being captured an anomaly appeared and saved them. Fighting off the bad guys and giving the two time to escape, but not before Benji realizes it's his wife from his present time. Anyways, I absolutely love this series and am definitely gonna binge watch it.

Low key feels like a season two could be made. Maybe when 2023 comes around listener opens up about what happened in the past and Benji as he thinks we've gone crazy with the story we're telling knows we're telling the truth because of a look we have in our eye. And perhaps as we're talking about it a distortion appears and we grow stunned and silent but we immediately grab his hand and maybe against better judgment we go in? Idk... totally up the you but it feels like there's a huge potential for a season two, I'm just not entirely sure about the plot maybe there were new time crystals made or something or other I'm not sure I started crying when Benji sacrificed himself and forgot most of what happened at the beginning

ah, finally had some time to dive into this one. i must say you nailed the pain of having to say goodbye but at the same time the excitement of saying hello again? that blockbusters scene was just perfection. going back to how future benji said his future wife was laughing so much at his terrible jokes and everything that he says- i’d like to think she was laughing more out of happiness that she got to see him and fall in love, again. honestly, even if the future wife tells 2002 benji about whatever that happened, he would have taken it as “see? i knew we were always meant to be, albeit in the past, present, or future”. he’s a total big simp for her 😂 oh and- we don’t really need to worry about the chronus seven anymore…… right?

Nope! In the new future the time loop is broken. Because Chronus Seven was destroyed, they can't go on to make Chronus Eight, and with 2002 Lucinda dead there's no one to start Chronus One. In the new timeline Benji stays with you for the rest of his life.

Bro I’m so sad I wrote out this whole super long comment when I first finished this and then KZbin just DIDNT POST IT?? 😭😭 but anyway here’s my attempt to get as close to replicating the idea of it as I can- This is so just one of those stories where as soon as you finish it you just don't know what to do with yourself; because even though nothing has really changed in the world at large from when it started, other than where the sun is in the sky, and everyone around you is just going about life as they were before, you just lost, lived, feared, loved, and essentially experienced existence as another person who then just stops existing the second the last line is over. And of course it’s possible to spin headcanons, theories, continuations in your own mind and so on- but, at least in my mind, as soon as the narrative structure the character exists within ceases, as does that version of them. In my head it’s not far off from how it works when a person daydreams about their future or some other world/timeline they’d like to be in, where they ARE imagining themselves occupying a different life but the person in that circumstance is juuuust not quite the *same* as the person whose imagining it. The version in the minds eye may just visually look slightly different, they may be older or younger than the person truly is, perhaps more confident, more content, more determined, or more open to what life offers. But once any one given daydream ends, in my experience, that exact variation is gone and even if to a small degree, there will be something about their combination of traits that will never be fully replicated. What I find fascinating though is JUST how fitting this feeling is in following up this particular character & plotline. Because simultaneously it centers the end of the immersion into the story but also almost feels like a remnant/continuation of it because I imagine that the sensation the listener characters herself is left with is not too far removed from that, both in how she’s seeing herself and the way she looks at Benji. Cus she’s probably grappling with the fact that all at once his life ended, and he had experienced his life quite fully for how long he had it and yet at the same time their life together hardly just begun- and she’ll probably never truly forget that with everything he goes through(/they go through together) for the first time, with the information she has she’ll know “this has already happened. He already went through this..but *this* him hasn’t gone through it” and honestly that’s exactly how I feel about listener characters whenever I revisit familiar stories. But also life will come at her just as it would have if time travel never existed in the first place, in her life, benji’s life- and frankly the continuation of time at least until 2040-something- and none of that is changed, but SHE is changed. Not in any material or simple way, but in the simultaneous curse of knowledge and closure & assurance that at least one good thing is coming, which will probably to some degree effect what attitude she takes to approach life, because even though she has not herself gone through and cannot recall the timespan of the life she hasn’t experienced, she knows that somewhere out there some version of her (future self) has. All that to say Top tier absolutely gutting and bittersweet work I don’t know what to with my life now that it’s over, that’s how you can tell it hits So anyway I’m gonna go eat pizza now
