Honestly, the idea of taking full blown animalistic monsters and translating them into more "human" ones is actually rather brilliant. I always had trouble thinking of something to suggest for you to do with Monster Hunter because my preferred "end result" forms of Dragons and Fantasy Beasts were utterly redundant. Also reading the description after only just seeing the Somnacanth design and after that I'm *really* interested in seeing what you define as "weirdly attractive"

Gotta say PopCross, I honestly really like the tone of this video and the music in it. The art was as splendid as it is eerie, befitting of this episode. I really enjoyed SCP's as Dragons on Friday. For round two I highly recommend... SCP-682 "Hard to destroy reptile" A decomposing nigh unkillable crocodilian dragon with a skull head. SCP-2845 "The Deer" I imagine it's appearance would be very similar to the Doctor Strange Dragon only with fur and a more humanoid head. SCP-4217 "Contain the Bismarck" A cephalopoid dragon residing within a sunken pirate ship, formerly owned by Captain Bismarck. SCP-035 "The Possessive Mask" A draconic porcelain mask that when placed on a human said human will transform into a dragon, under the mask's control.

I LOVE THIS NEW NARRATOR AND THIS NEW CONCEPT!!!!! I seriously think that if you keep using him, he may become as popular as Benny Sharp or Champaigne McGreggor. I am also enthusiast about the idea of turning things things into monster from a classic gothic universe with monsters like vampires and werewolves who are hunted down by the Van Helsings. You got an excellent concept and you should continue to use it.

This was really fun to watch, I loved every second of it. I really hope we get horror icons as dragons to come back I think it’s a fun series that needs more attention, and here is my idea for that….. Spencis Charnas Origin After studying the Honey-Hook Wyvern, I end up seeing a couple of knights from the Las Angels Guard working on a quest about the death of a women who has connections to a specific person they were looking for which has a connection to these dragons I was studying. So I was lead to this carnival of carnage we’ll call it which had some of the dragons I talked about already like the Fanged Jester, the Scorched Nightmare, The October Slow Stalker, and the 4 other dragons that I mentioned already. It made me remember the times I went to the kingdom where Willis Afterian used his so called dragons as attractions which is now a different kingdom entirely at this point and the kingdom has been destroyed by the time I’m telling you about him. But I also saw and interview the owner of this place and his name was Spencis Charnas. He was wearing a suit that resembled half of a Scorched Nightmare and a Crystal Lake Camp Stalker with half of his face (well 25% of his face) covered with the fake skull of one of these dragons. But he also was holding a cane with a skull on top of the handle and wore (just for show) a bladed glove which represented the right hand of a scorched nightmare. He told me that he was really fascinated about these dragons sense he was little when he encountered the same exact October Slow Stalker that I studied that was caged here, which he said inspired someone to kill his sister, her friends, and even his parents which he ended up killing him in self defense but also he was a kid at the time and I don’t know if a kid could kill a full grown adult. Then he told me other things about him like he is the leader of a traveling folk story group that tells tales of these dragons. But when he said that I did see when studying the Crystal Lake Camp Stalker that there were these lines of their little tale in the area which said… "He Drowned in all our sins He drowned in our mistakes Fueled by the flood, we pay in blood The curse of Crystal Lake" And then I forgot about when I studied the Honey-Hook Wyvern I saw these lines which read…. "Left to die under the sun The hive never spared anyone How 'bout the hand for the honey bees Hooked on the creed of their colony" The most messed up part about the writing is that they were written in the blood of the dead bodies that were at the area where they were written. Also Spencis told me about this place’s history and the dragons that he really wants in here and he even gave me the privilege to study them after hours when the place closes since he knew I was the Overseer of this world and knew how much I liked studying mythical beast, he would even asked me to create more of these types of dragons if I wanted too. Then I asked him the big question that I think he knew I was gonna ask which was…. Why is the Las Angels Guard after you? He told me more about his past where he was connected with the case of the death of Elias Black who was the alchemist who would help Spencis with his nightmares while he was traveling with his group which he told me that the fanged jester that was caged here, which I remembered that I studied that exact same fanged jester tortured Elias and killed him and now he is connected to the death of the women that I heard about which turned out is his Fiancé and the Las Angels leader Captain Harris isn’t stopping until he is behind bars. But Spencis told me that he knows who really killed her and he won’t stop until the real killer pays for what he has done. But then I shook his hand and then left after talking to him and he even asked me if I was coming to opening night of the carnival and I told him yes and he told me these four words that I won’t forget "Sometimes…. Dead is Better." Which ended up gave me a shiver that went down my spine for some reason. Then the big night came and Spencis Sang one of his songs with his group which was the Anthem to this place. Then Spencis say these three words that would end up sticking with me every time I go to this place no matter if this place is opened or not which were… Welcome to Horrorwood!!! For context, the character Spencis Charnas is based off of Ice Nine Kills Frontman Spencer Charnas who has made horror movie themed metal albums and I turned him into a ringmaster and owner of a freak show like carnival were these dragons are now going to be residing. The Honey-Hooked Wyvern is based off of Candyman and the Crystal Lake Camp Stalker is based off of Jason Voorhees. But overall what do you think? Also can we get an episode like taking anime characters and putting them in the world of Persona (specifically the 5th one) or just a straight up Persona episode? Also I want to know where I can send you this origin story for you so you can use it because I really want to let you use it? If that’s all right with you.

This was incredible. I've only recently been getting into Monster Hunter since the design and lore of those mighty beasts is just incredible, and I've always been a fan of folklore creatures since they always have a special place in our history and culture. So seeing you draw some Monster Hunter monsters as if they were folklore beasts is incredible. I loved Zinogre's and Barroth's designs the most. Somnacanth's gives off that frightening and dangerous feel of coming face to face with a truly frightening creature that would never be expected to be a threat and really heightens the fear factor of the mysteries as well as the unknowns of the watery depths...plus this design really gives a whole new meaning and side to the mer creatures of classic folklore as well as in general really scary mermaids, Zinogre’s gives off that of an ancient entity that gives off the presence of an alpha predator and truly reflects that the creatures will forever be the superior hunters...plus this design really makes him look like a cool draconic looking werewolf which is an interesting take on the were-beast, Barroth's design gives off that feel of a mysterious creature that's been living within the mountains and frozen terrain and makes you think that perhaps its a potential threat that should be taken seriously...plus I just love how he looks like an evolved yeti/abominable snowman with a cool head with curved horns and a very powerful tail, Pukei Pukei's design gives off that cool jungle/forest creature look to it that also feel like it accurately shows how it can be an excellent guardian of nature and a possible ally...plus giving it some cool reptilian features as well as having the powers of chameleon adds to the level of power that this creature surprisingly has. This was an amazing video and its one of the best creature themed episodes with a really cool topic...and I like it. I'd love to see you try to turn some more Monster Hunter monsters into folklore beasts since I think that would be a great opportunity to explore other kinds of creatures like the famous Diablos and Rathalos. It would even be cool to see you use some of your own creatures like your dragons from other videos that you did be turned into Monster Hunter monsters since that could be both interesting as well as amazing. I'd also be ok with seeing you do a video on drawing some Monster Hunter monsters as either kaijus, , SCPs, Superheroes or as more mech/fantasy armours, since I think that would be pretty interesting...plus if its the case for armours, I think Benny and Vasilia would have a blast, and it would be fun to see Benny and Vasilia come up with armour ideas based on some of these unique and mighty monsters. I also can’t wait to see how Mara’s story continues in the multiverse tales episodes. Great job as always Christian and I can’t wait to see what you draw on Friday’s video. P.s. do you think you could do a video of turning dinosaurs into mech armours? Cuz I want to see how Benny Sharp and Champagne McGregor would get along. i have an idea (for the next episode, since there probably will be one), other then malzeno, could you perhaps turn Crimson glow valstrax, Magnamolo and perhaps narwa and/or ibushi into something they possibly match as a folklore? If not i'd love to see what other suggestions the people of the comments have! Great video by the way, monster hunter is the game i've played for the longest so far, starting on MHFU, later on playing MHG/MHGU once they released, soon starting to play MHW/MHWI (still playing ofc), and now mostly playing MHR, i am very excited for Sunbreak since Gore Magala, Astalos and Lucent Nargacuga are returning, perhaps you could make them into folklore beasts?

As a fan of Monster Hunter myself, I would love to see more MonHun content on the channel. Perhaps famous Video Game Armors turned into Monsters? Fashion is a part of the Hunt, so it only makes sense.

as a big monster hunter fan i loved this episode so much! me and my wife starting new each other thanks to playing together on psp. my favorite of this video it was sommanacanth, loved the whole story and design. if gonna have future episodes i gonna recommend my favorite monster : Dalamadur, i would love to see how you make him into a folklore. also i'm an artist as well and you teached so much and inspired me with your videos, really made a big difference in my art carrer, thank you so much!

A fun video could be Dauntless beasts as something. Dauntless has a lot of cool monster designs to choose from so you wouldn't have to try hard to find fun beasts. It also has good and simple lore. Great video!

if you do another episode on this topic, maybe make it based only on elder dragons. obviously, you should make Malzeno a vampire monster, but I don't know what to make the other ones. my other recommendations, if you do this, are Fatalis, Valstrax, and either Gogmazios or Alatreon

I love that you took the monsters from well monster hunter one of (my opinion) the best video game series ever and turning them into cryptids like there was only a few left and it’s a really cool idea. Also I love the barrioth it’s probably my favorite monster from the game

Yes PART 2, I'd love to see more of this and to see that vampire monster. And some folklore and mythical human monsters you could use are Draugr Nordic undead warriors that are like/the inspiration for Game of thrones white walkers, Greek gorgans which is the monsters species that medusa is, ghouls, Wendigos, skins walkers, stuff like that.

Sweet video! Can't wait for the new Multiverse tales episode. On that topic I had an idea for a new series. Turing pop culture characters and creatures into bio-mech hosts. Give Kayla and Charlie something to narrate. Or if you want to add to a current series, real-life heroes like cops and fireman as legendary warriors would be cool.

(Pre watch) Well, this is an interesting subject and video. Already excited. (Midway) okay. this is pretty fun lore-wise. Really hoping for a sequel, not neceserely monsterhunter related. Maybe Hellboy? (Post watch) super fun video, story and art-wise. Once again, i'd love to see a Borderlands related episode, maybe Multiverse tales characters as Vaulthunters.

Great video,loved how you mixed those monsters with...well,the classic monsters lol, if i could give you ideas, i think making Vaal hazak as some sort of zombie creature that attacks with the miasma(or the spores in the case of blackveil vaal hazak), magnamalo as a ghost flaming samurai and Teostra something like surtr, the king of the fire giants

This was definitely interesting; not sure if I like it a ton yet, but I would happily see a sequel; though if you do, PLEASE consider using Valstrax; that rocket dragon is definitely one of my favorite Monster Hunter monsters.

I know absolutely 0% of anything monster hunter related stuff, but I really like the art you did today. I am particularly fond of Those freaky lady monsters. If ya know what i mean, lol. I would like to still recommend pokemon or spiderman villains as ARMS characters and a new skylanders episode
