This is a tutorial on how to convert your stock xenon headlights to halogen and also to aftermarket xenon, if you also have LED in your new headlights then it will show you how to hook those up as well. enjoy!

I cringed when you dropped the bumper and started dragging it a lil

Did you cut the halogen harness inside the headlight and splice the hid bulb? Or drill holes ?

I have a Factory Xenon HID model. I want to change lamps cause my old lamps are dirty/milky & new xenon bulbs are expensive so I wanted to change to halogen headlights. I bought them but electric vires don’t fit. I am wondering if it has different voltage & if its safe to change.. & if i can just remove connectors & contact cords by myself? Thank you

You are going to have to go directly from the wires before the ballast. The ballast sends a surge of electricity as it's starting the gas bulbs up. You probably don't want that for a halogen bulb.

Where did you get the connectors?
@dennisreinier21526 жыл бұрын
They come with. I'm sure you could find some at an auto parts store. If nothing else, eBay or Amazon 99% has what you're looking for lol

Did you ever get a headlight flicker? Any codes? Thanks
@dennisreinier21526 жыл бұрын
@@leftyleft8424 there was no headlight flicker. If there is, it's probably a bad connection. You could trace back the wires and make sure all of your connections are secure and wrapped.

hey when you got your hid kit did you get a bi-xenon or just a regular kit and what wattage 35 or 55? I'm assuming it was regular?assuming when the flap opens in the headlight from switching the high beams it made it somewhat brighter with the regular kit? hope to hear from you
@dennisreinier21527 жыл бұрын
Jamestowne Cornejo .. So when I ordered this kit It was supposed to be for the xenon bulb, but it didn't even have a place for the ballast. Not to mention the correct fitting for the xenon bulb lol. They sent me the one for the normal halogen bulbs so Instead of wasting time sending it back, I improvised. I hope this answers your question.

Dennis Reinier. I'm looking for the h11 HID kit with A shorter bulb since yours was too long i dont want to have to modify the way you did but am not having any luck finding a kit that even makes it with the shorter bulb.
@dennisreinier21527 жыл бұрын
Jamestowne Cornejo normally if you don't have an aftermarket headlight assembly, the brights and the normal lights are in two different places so you don't have the moving parts in there. it will just change bulbs from the normal to brights, so you don't have to worry about weather or not it's a long bulb.
@D1SRUPTLV7 жыл бұрын
Oh.i know how to do this normally.but I do plan on getting those exact headlights and was looking for more insight on which hid kit to get so I don't have to mod them the way you did
@dennisreinier21527 жыл бұрын
Jamestowne Cornejo I'll try to remember where I found it but I know someone makes normal xenon (not xenon for brights) that have a shorter bulb. it should fit that if u remember right. If I can find it again I'll make sure to let you know

Hey what's going man. My lights are factory xenon like yours except my harness isn't working so is it possible to use my high beams for a electric source
@dennisreinier21524 жыл бұрын
It's possible, but I wouldn't recommend it. Is your ballast operational?
@williamwest76904 жыл бұрын
@@dennisreinier2152 yes it is but there a shortage in the harness. I was just going to eliminate the xenons but I would have to run it from the other light
@williamwest76904 жыл бұрын
I didnt want to come out of any $ rewiring the harness which is a bitch.
@dennisreinier21524 жыл бұрын
@@williamwest7690 the problem using the bright wiring is mainly voltage, and you'd have to constantly have your brights turned on without the ability to actually have brights. You could just trace back with a current test light to find where the break is and then get some wire and splice it from there back to your headlight assembly

wiring aside, between the halogen and hid/xenon headlights, would the hid bulb and module just fit in directly in the halogen headlight? because my headlight is damaged but the lights work fine, i just need the headlight itself, so i was wondering if i can disconnect the module and bulb of my xenon headlight, take another headlight that was meant for halogen and just put all my xenon parts on it, would it be possible?

The halogen, and xenon bulb fittings are way different stock.
