I'm considering a filter like this myself, how does it work with rain or car washes with the air filter exposed up there?

I'm looking at doing the dual snorkel system- based on prior experience with previous CAIs on other cars, I'm also purchasing a Pre Filter. It's a type of water resistant cover that fits over the air filter. They make a different version for really dusty applications.
