Nice tune, really fine band. Maybe not as exciting as the Jazz Avengers, but this bands drummer plays a whole lot like JA's drummer. 🤣As Guthrie Govan said, it seems that there's nothing she can't do.

I would not hire Senri to play simple repetitive beats. I'd get Dennis Chambers for that.

@@Frisbieinstein It probably wasn’t your intent, but your comment regarding Dennis Chambers sounds rather dismissive. I don’t know all of DC’s playing, but everything I’m familiar with is neither simple nor repetitive, and as you probably know, Senri has often mentioned how much she admires Dennis Chambers and his funky grooves. At any rate, I think this gig, like so many others, was not all that much about musical requirements. These guys could have gotten many of the excellent drummers in Japan to play, and Senri is so busy that she probably has to turn down many invitations to play - so why did she choose to play here? I’m guessing that the motivations aren’t always as much as much about the specific notes one plays as it is about who you feel comfortable with, and simply having a good time - a point Senri herself has made about forming the Jazz Avengers.

@@peterb7923 I'd say that Dennis is the most versatile of drummers. You might like him with Gentle Hearts with Greg Howe and Tetsuo Sakurai. Dennis is really good at playing simple repetitive beats as epitomized with his Funkadelics gig.
