For those that think Tao's comments are a bit harsh, I think you have to understand that these group of judges went through so many years of training in Korea under SM. They are the one who knows that crying ain't going to get you anywhere. If you are familiar with this show, you'll know that in the previous season, one particular girl debuted and she literally can't sing or dance.

She debuted only because she is cute...she cannot sing/dance at all and is totally a joke, dragging down the entire team... she is very famous now, but in a bad way...times have changed. Chinese audience are very tired of people like Yang Chao Yue in showbiz. i am guessing this year's show will be very different in terms of which 7 can eventually debut. a lot more emphasis on hardcore vocal and dance skills.

All the girls are so talented in their own ways. But I do agree with Tao on why he got angry, why join the show if you are too timid? It's not a place to pity a person to stardom. If you want to fight for your dream, stand up and try your best. Not winning a spot doesn't mean that you're not good enough, it just means that you need to practice harder and improve yourself. I think for sure this show needs someone like Tao to input strictness into the trainees. It's to help them gain their lack confidence. Tao has a very soft heart, he is a strict person only because he cares and want the girls to believe in themselves. Just two episodes in and I can see so many talented girls. Looking forward to this show.

My honest opinion is this show needs someone like tao. Not everyone can understand how to improve with nice critic all the time. I understand Tao. He had every right to be this mad. Tao had to go to another country because an opportunity like this show wasn't even available back then. He learned another language, stayed in a very strict system of training for years, and even when he debuted he had to fight for a spotlight. These girls got an opportunity over thousands of other girls who auditioned and got rejected. they have the opportunity to showcase their talents without losing anything but instead, they are sitting on those seats as some elite group who are already at the top. Curley, Feifei and roubing should've stayed. Yao hui is good and it's nice that she's a singer songwriter but this is trying to form a girl group. We don't even know if she can dance (since she didn't dance I'm guessing she can't) . yao hui can easily portray her emotions when she is singing and her voice is really one of a kind, it's so soothing and beautiful. I don't want to say that curley, feifei and roubing don't have a good voice, no, because they a rly strong contestants when it comes to singing, but Yao hui is rly standing out, she is rly unique and just like Tao said, in a group you also need an original songwriter, and she is just fitting for this role, regarding to her dance skills...well she is in produce camp to learn, practice and get better at things she is lacking in. Honestly, does anyone remember Yang Chaoyue? From Produce 101? Before you guys talk about Yao Hui, lets think of ChaoYue. Her talents were being adorable and crying. Practically nothing else (this is when she was on the show, she may have improved after training with Rocket Girls 101). She still managed to place 3rd (I'm not trying to be rude, she herself admitted that she wasn't good and thought she didn't deserve this). at least Yao Hui can sing. It doesn't matter if she gets pushed down or not, if she works hard to learn how to dance, she'll stay if not she'll get pushed down. That's just how life works. This is only one of the first episodes, there is nothing to worry about. I believe in XiLinNaYi's group, that they'll be able to go back up, that this is only the beginning (literally...it's only the beginning).

You may say that she sounds the same just because she has a soft and soothing voice, many of the other girls have tried to sing soothing, but not many have been able to pull off what she did. Yao Hui expresses herself very beautifully and she also has a lot of singing skills. Yes Curley is an amazing singer, who has a very powerful voice and I have nothing to complain about her, but it doesn't mean that Yao Hui isn't an amazing singer either. She probably hasn't hit those high notes like Curley, but it doesn't mean that she can't, you heard her sing only 2 songs and already assume things you may not know about her, I am looking forward to her future performances too, because I really believe she has more to show us. And if she won't then she will just get pushed down in the ranking, because this is what the show is about, you either show what you have in store or you'll lose your chance. But until then lets just see what happens :))) And yes they are trying to produce a girlgroup, that's right... But that doesn't mean Yao Hui wouldn't be qualified for that position... For the time being she lacks im dancing, but that's exactly why she is here in this show to get trained and improver the things she is lacking in... She can definitely become better. ^^

Quick reminder that Tao debuted in EXO under SM's Company as a foreigner. SM is known for their exhaustive and perfectionist training method which means to even debut with EXO 8 years ago he had to compete with other trainees. I think Yao Hui needs more recognition so here is a thing: one of the most difficult things to do when you're making a song it's translating your emotions to the lyrics and melody. She made the mentors emotional during her performance and she sounds so pure and sincere. Besides, even tho she learned to do music a little time ago she is still so good. I just think she is truly gifted and born to make music. Maybe she will not win this show or something, but she deserved all the recognition from the judges for her performance. I read the comments before watching the full episode and many people where talking about how tao was a drama queen and he was overreacting but seriously when I watched it I can't blame him because 1. first of all your already have taken the step to be part the program but now say that you aren't ready, say that you are afraid but at the same time you have nothing to lose plus it's only the first challenge the competition has even properly started 2. second the fact that they would cry without even experiencing how harsh the stage is it kind of made me angry too and I know they had a high pressure on but if they can't take even this much which is fair competition how can they handle what comes afterwards If you watched tao and you know him it clearly remained him of his past He and many other singers went on another country without even knowing the language alone at a young age and had to deal with a lot of mistreatment and racism (let's not talk what he went through when he left) while these girls cry because they're afraid and they don't believe they're the best I repeat that I know that the pressure is high but if they don't try it how high is the opportunity for them to be in the final line up?? I felt like tao couldn't fully explain what he meant but in my words what he was trying to say is that if you're to afraid and sensitive then this industry isn't for you cause if you cry with this much imagine how you will feel when they don't ask twice to break your heart to a million pieces , this industry is to harsh 😔

Because they did better than the other one. The first sang and danced, but the singing was too bad even the mentor said so if we eliminate the singing from the group they only have the dance as well as the second group, and as a group dance the second was more coordinated, more synchronized and the did well in group but the others only have explosion what is good, but you can see that the dance is a bit chaotic. So I think that is why they chose the second group. if gao zi team can really sing I hope they can show and to learn how to coordinate in dance and to sing while dancing and improve a lot, because I think they have charisma

If the show give you an opportunity to show your abilities and the other team do better, don't worry, it will be another opportunity. But the thrut is the first group were not capable of signing while dancing and that left a bad impression if you try but not do it right, also, they want to be in a girl group but they even can organise a dance with their group? As the mentor said the first group dance was chaotic more like the dance battles from the begging. So, first group give us sing and do it wrong, also they give us dance and the second team do way better. The decision is clear, if the second team can't sing they possible will be dragged down, but in the battle the performance of both teams were very different and that is what matters in an idol the performance you give to the public

I was shocked when yao hui won instead of Curley Gao(Xi lin na yi Gao)'s group. Creating your own songs is cool, but her songs are just like any plain slow Chinese songs. I heard many songs sounding similar to hers and there is just no uniqueness. I like yao hui's voice and it's very soothing, but it's very emotional as other people say. This is a competition to have a spot in a girl group. Yao hui doesn't dance which is a requirement girl groups need. If this is other produce shows like youth with you or korean produce shows, she will definitely be asked to show a dance performance. But if she doesn't know how to dance well, she will definitely be moved to a lower class. Curley Gao's group have vocals and dance. They reach the requirements of being cabable of being in a girl group. This is not a singing competition and not a competition to showcase your own songs. This is why I prefer watching youth with you and korean produce shows because they have a clear idea of what girl groups need. The mentors have clear roles. This show is a bit messy and i don't get why they got rid of the alphabet ranks. Many of the trainees are talented and yao hui is also very talented.

Can't the mentors judge the girls individually like they always did? If one girl shine more than the others they should receive a high rank. Yaohui's lyrics, from a mothertongue's perspective.. it actually brought me to tears. I like this program more because they give a fair screen times to each trainees and We could enjoy a full performance and battle without getting paid to a vip because first impressions to the audience is very important. I agree. I felt like they pitied her. Blame it on editing or whatever but the difference in how they treated the solo girl that went before her makes me sort of mad. They didnt give her the chance bc she was a soloist competing against a group of six but then decided to give the solo girl who went second a chance because they were getting emotional. The mentors didnt consider the fact that she was also a soloist, they felt like they just needed to put a soloist up there.

@@terere6073 based off of the comments that the mentors made about hua chiyo. They chose the group over her bc she was a soloist. The performance that she put on was, in my opinion better than the groups. The girl that danced after hua chiyo's superwoman performance was not as eye catching. It wasn't anything new. All she did was roll her body, not put on a performance.

首先如果教练们能看见姚慧的那些经历 那么没有理由他们不知道希林娜依也有原创作品，还是伯克利学生 硬要说原创，我个人更喜欢华承妍，‘I'm a super women’ 。 凭什么华承妍会因为比不过一整个团队而失败，但是姚慧连舞都没跳就能赢了。 至于她的原创作品我只能说是好听的，但是我没有眼前一亮的感觉。 旋律什么的都太套路，就好像歌的起承转合你能猜到，下一秒是该低音了，该高音了。 好听但并不惊艳，这种旋律的歌说实话。挺多的。 最后检讨一下我自己，我并不太能听出她歌里想要表达的情绪，大概是因为我母胎solo19年，抱歉了。 还有姜贞羽真的好有气质啊，胡玛尔那支舞好好看啊，沙漠之雕那段真的笑的我肚子疼， 另外我真的好喜欢国风唱腔，这次创造营有实力的妹妹真的好多啊。 以上所有谨代表个人观点。

That was my only issue when comparing them. But in the end I think the performance was even tigther on Five Poison but still I felt unfair for it to compete when they didn't sing.

To be fair even if we were just comparing dancing, I still think five poison would have won. The other group’s dance was good yes, but you didn’t feel as if they were a group- it didn’t feel as if all four of them were on the same page and the one girl dancing at the back was mostly hidden, but when you could see her, she was not in unison with the other members most of the time. With the five poison group, all five of the members shone and, like Tao said, they were more in unison. That’s just my opinion though.

Many people picked Curley and said YaoHui doesn't deserve the seat. Don't you think it is too over? Curley sings well of course, but what she did is performing a song while YaoHui is telling her story. To be honest, YaoHui's performance touched me more. Curley is imitating but Yao is the new creater. Maybe you guys are not Chinese and cannot understand the real meaning of lyrics in Yao's song. But she really deserves the seat.

Sometimes, you need a loud voice to help wake up and I believe that's what Tao played a role in. If you are someone on the show, then no matter what the circumstances, you must try your best to stand out so that viewers can remember you. Doesn't matter if you are scared or shy, if you want to be someone on stage, you have to go up and face the fears.
