I've also met Chuck on 3 separate occasions, and he's the most down-to-Earth person that you could ever meet!! The thing about Chuck...he's not "star struck!" He'll talk to fans about anything, and he's very approachable!! Great vocalist, but an even better person! Testament was my FIRST concert.. with Nuclear Assault and Savatage in 1989, maybe 1990 at Sundance on Long Island. I was 16. Chuck was watching me get my scrawny 90 lb ass kicked in the pit and threw a bucket of water on me to cool me down. That was SOOO cool.. Chuck was looking out for the actual kids in the audience who were getting manhandled by the "bigger kids" lol. Now i'm a middle aged dentist.. still thrashing to Slayer, Suicidal, exodus, deth , and many others!!

It’s cool chuck chose the gathering because I said the same thing. Before that, they always seemed in Metallica’s shadow and the gathering changed that. They’ve been on a level all their own since then.
