Chuck D killin' it! My hero Willie Mays, the Say Hey Kid! I can't believe I'm 63 and on one of the rare moments that I'm happy to be old enough to have witnessed his greatness, both for and against the Mets at Shea Stadium. He was my very first sports hero followed closely by Clyde Frazier.

Grew up in 60s. Still remember buying baseball cards at the local Mom & Pop grocery store and there was a Willie Mays card in the pack. It was a big deal for a 10 year old kid!

I bet it was. Johnny Bench talked about & posted photos of himself with Willie in his book From Behind the Plate that my mom bought for one of my older brothers back when Willie was still playing.

Chuck D still has the most powerful voice in hip-hop. He doesn't rap fast, or all that technical, but he delivers each line like a sledgehammer to the brain. Been a fan since 1988, when I got "Fear of A Black Planet". Such an amazing album, that unfortunately could never be made today due to sampling laws. That record has SO many samples, it's literally in the hundreds I remember hearing. Glad to see/hear Chuck still at it, and that he still has that amazing voice.

One legend tipping his hat to another. I have so many Willie Mays autographs, rare cards of his, singed bats, balls, pictures, you name it. Been down with P.E. since the late ‘80s when I discovered them. First cassette tape I ever purchased, the debut studio album: Yo! Bum Rush the Show. Still have it, along with, “It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back”, “Fear of a Black Planet”, “Apocalypse 91…The Enemy Strikes Black”. Respect the legends. ✊
