I feel sad 😢 this location closed. I have celebrated several birthdays for me and my family growing up here. I was told by one of the employees that they are moving to a bigger location: I swill forever miss this location because it’s right near my house. I enjoyed the video tour. Also can’t believe this location closed and not too long ago they renovated it. I’m assuming it closed for financial reasons.

i’m glad you enjoyed the video! yes, they closed because of financial issues. the store is looking to relocate but when I went they said they hadn’t found a new building yet, so it might be a while before they do.

@@rolfedewolfe as always we hope for the best. I guess this location will eventually be something else later on. I was also curious did all the employees lose their jobs or are they being transferred/offered a job in a different location

The oldest CEC in Texas has closed now… RIP

But it’s not the same as it once was & the HUGE room with the slides, bounce section, balls, obstacle course & shadow wall was already all gone. I lived a 5 minute walk from until I was 6yo & had ALL my birthdays until that age there (plus many random family fun days too). THAT stuff is what made this location so special. Sad that it had all been taken down. Anyone know when it was remodeled & why all of that was taken out?

Dawg I had no idea Arlington closed! And I heard there’s going to be more closures this year. I guess my editor was right. CEC really is starting to go under again

this is sad, what happens if this effects the whole locations, by closing all stores and yet this is so sad, I hope the manager and employees finds a new job

Sucks that it’s this location closing. It was the first CEC in Texas and an old PTT. Along with Fargo, these stores had special legacies. The people who worked there and who had birthdays there will miss it. It had no (emotional) impact on me because I’ve never been here. But to others, it was there childhood. R.I.P Arlington TX store. 1980-2024.

What do reckon this means regarding 2.0 remodels? Are they finally slowing down
@rolfedewolfe7 ай бұрын
Probably not. supposedly around 50 CEC locations will be closing, but remodels will most likely continue steadily (EDIT: 50 locations closing was probably misinformation but there are confirmed to be more closures soon)
