Mike Tyson and several other famous boxers have spoke on this exact topic about punches. If you can teach yourself to throw your punch from the hip you will get a much more powerful and accurate punch. You can hear it on the punching bag lol

Hips generate force(torque). What you need is some kinda force to carry your punches. Your hips, shoulder, your leg especially. Try locking your knee to use the ground as base force... nothing denser and powerful than the ground itself

Rampage admitted it was the hardest body shot he ever took in his career was from chuck. Rampage was going in low for a takedown and chuck hit him with a flush uppercut to the body. Rampage remembered that exact punch and baited chuck to throw it in the 2nd fight and caught him with a counter.

Chuck's pro fighting days are long gone but he could still murder someone with a punch. I haven't followed what he's been up to lately but I hope he's been leaning into teaching/coaching. MMA has evolved alot since his prime but he still has valuable knowlege to pass along. His striking prowess was undeniable and his takedown defence was one of the best there ever was. And if he was taken down, 99% of the time he was back on his feet in 15 seconds. He was 1 of the guys in that first handful of modern MMA legends.
