I bought this game 29 years ago. I have always liked this game because it's fun and not super difficult. If people have the Sega Genesis, I recommend this game.

I remember playing this game when a relative of mine brought it home from Mega Movies (blockbuster type rental store) in the early 90s, my relative worked there and would bring random games and pogs of all things home for me. Played it once and got to the squid boss but couldn't beat it, then I had forgotten the name of this game until now. But the boss music for some reason always stuck with me, lol

I've always wondered why Genesis/Megadrive games and other video games have jointed bosses, like, whenever a boss has a really long neck, trunk, nose, body, tongue, or tail, they're pieced together by a bunch of balls, I really wonder why they're balls instead of just being smooth and flowing sprites..

Yeah, prolly one or both of those reasons (Cause I've seen examples where long, flowing things could be made, like the final boss in Aladdin for the SNES, the snake's body is smooth [but the head was made with jointed balls instead of being consistent with the rest of the body..])

+The Toontastic Toon i actually think that it was for animate the sprites better because the balls are separated parts and can make fluid movements

Because this way you don't animate these parts,thus saving from the limited space you had to work with.And sometimes it's probably laziness as well.

They're used to simulate smoother joint movement as animating seperate sprites would be space and time consuming.
