SPOILERS: Sarah is really in love but she is both conflicted because it makes her vulnerable as a spy AND she has to protect the dynamic to not fuck up the program. Everybody who ends up finding out about the secret helps Chuck finally recognize that Sarah genuinely loves him, that it's not a fake covert couple in her mind.

Earlier in the episode he thought she was under a 'truth serum' and forced to tell the truth and asked her if they would ever be together. She said 'no'. Then we find out here at the end that she *wasnt* forced to tell the truth and that she (likely) did in fact lie to him about being together. She totally understood why he did this and hates it, but is stuck in a no-win position at this point of the show.

Chuck was always so damn oblivious. Even towards the end, he didn't pick up on any of the subtle hints that she did remember being in love with him, contrary to what she says, until he finally figured it out when she asked him to "tell me our story."

What's Chuck to do. Under "TRUTH" serum, Sarah said no. Even though we know she withstood it through her training, she still said no to Chuck. If she had said yes, all the other men and women wouldn't have even been an issue in their love journey.

In most of their one on one talks, if only Chuck let Sarah talk first. Not that she would say much but they could’ve saved themselves a lot of heartache. Her face says it all every time.

He asked the wrong question. He didnt ask her if she loved him, he asked if it was going anywhere. To that she had to say, NO, because that's protocol and therefore not a lie. But if he had asked her if she loved him, she might have told the truth.

​@@josejaro3788No kidding. I like to think that in scene where Chuck says "It could never be real" that she was actually going to tell him how she felt about him. It would explain the nervous swallow and shoulder sag, like she was nervous about what she was going to say.

You can see Sarah changing expression while Chuck was breaking up with her. She liked the idea of being her fake girlfriend because at the time it was the only way for them to be "together", as we all know she was in love with him since the pilot.

She exactly said that in the next episode: I never felt like our time together was work. So she loved to be with Chuck even if it was a fake relationship. Because in her head it was a real one. To be with him is enough for her. Even if Bryce shaked a little things in a later episode, she choose Chuck.

You can see sarah is sad even though its a fake fake break up and they weren't even actually dating...she had feelings but she never wanted to accept it ... specially after bryce kept popping around she used to doubt her feelings and say that its a mistake to fell for chuck but she admits that if she wasnt trained she might have slipped up because chuck wasbt her normal assignment he wasnt some bad guy he was a normal guy with normal prbs who didn't even want the intersect so thats why she developed feelings towards him much faster but whenever chuck dated other women she used to be jealous but denied everytime that she loves him but doesn't understand feeling quite yet as she has had romances before too ....just like how at the end her memory is gone she sees the name carved on the wall and feels something and cant kill him .then gets all sappy when she watches her taped videoes goes to see him if he is doing ok but says that she doesn't feel anything between them because she doesnt remember but what she denied is that what feelings she was rediscovering that particular moment because even though she didn't have memories she couldn't stop herself to see chuck how he was doing and returns again to ask his help when she could have gone anywhere and even at the end says she needs Time to think be alone and still finds her at the beach unable to leave the city the feelings which she felt after memory wipe were new to her and she did not have any memories to relate to so she couldn't understand what they were ..was it guilt, remorse or feelings for him

I think that Sarah suffered far more than Chuck did. I mean, in this scene she didn't say anything, she hadn't no words. It would break my heart if now I didn't know that they're gonna live together for the rest of their lifes :)
