True ...but at the end of the day she still found her love back...yes no memories but the feelings were there....she remembered the beach, the name carved on the house with him ...she realized what she had lost with her memories ...a normal life which she wanted deep down at the end her memories will return during which she is learning & accepting her feelings for chuck and falling for him again (and chuck is the only person who can help her since he knows her more than she knows herself at that point and chuck finally gets the chance to help her like she did for him once ) ....yeah she doesn't remember the things they went thru but she saw her own tape and her confession and at the end she instead of leaving finds herself on the beach unable to go...she didn't want to accept the fact that she had changed and fell in love got married because that change came to her gradually and here she is sarah from before she met chuck and learning she is married fell in love etc little overwhelming ..she was pissed angry that she got manipulated and memory erased she acted like a spy and tried to deny her feelings at the end the things that couldn't let her go was the realization that she fell for a good guy , had a good life shared everything with him that she wouldn't have with anyone else ..thats the moment when chuck asks her to trust him and he will be there for her no matter what she does she realizes how much he is hurting and feels for him and finally trusts (as she had already done it before ) and asks him to tell their story which she was avoiding because listening to it would change her and she was scared. ..at the end you can see she is much more calm.and composite and like herself ( the sarah we saw into become) ....even she knew the kiss may or may not work but most importantly she was ready live that life again because she knows what has been missing from her life she wants to be that woman again....she will have to learn everything about her and them from chuck which i think chuck already told and if not he will be their to help her during this time till she remembers important memories...The fact she also knew that she remembered things around chuck

@@mehroxsyed7203 Yeah so I actually am a huge fan of the "memory loss trope" because it poses a unique dilemma for the characters directly involved. With Sarah, in particular, it actually enables her to shed the part of herself that created the most conflict between her and Chuck- her trust issues and her repression of emotions and feelings. She learned from her difficult life that attachment is deadly and that her emotions need to be buried deep within her and that she can't trust or depend on anyone, not her father, not her friends (we saw how betrayed she was by Bryce in the very beginning), and not even the agency she works for. This is what created so many obstacles for her and Chuck. First she couldn't admit her feelings for Chuck because she couldn't even admit them to herself. She wanted everything between her and Chuck to happen on her terms, regardless of what Chuck wanted or how he felt. ex. Everytime they "broke up" Sarah is visibly hurt because, at those points in time, that was her way of getting what she wants without having to make any blatant decisions... a way of being with Chuck without her having to be real and honest with him or herself, and a way for her to have the life she secretly wants outside of the spy life. Chuck makes stupid and rash decisions because he has trouble feeling validated by her. Ex. him doing whatever he can to get the intersect back because part of him thinks Sarah will leave him without it. Had Sarah been more open with him, that and other situations, that might not quite be as extreme, could've been avoided. Sarah also makes dumb decisions that result in Chuck feeling useless because she is being overprotective. Ex. in season 5 when Morgan asks Chuck if Sarah tasking Chuck with handling Morgan was her way of handling him. Which brings the question, how much of her mindset with Chuck is she "handling" him? Her constant need to protect him; her frustration when he doesn't give her all the details or tell her everything when she does the same thing, indicating again that she expects to be trusted but not vice versa; The fact that when they both need to have conversations sharing how they are feeling or concerns, she doesn't want to participate because again that would require her accepting she feels a certain way, identifying why that is, and trusting Chuck enough to share that information. These are just a few examples of how these issues at her core have contributed in causing or escalating conflicts she has with Chuck. Now the memory loss actually poses a way to rectify this issue. By taking her memory, Sarah now has to rely on her instincts, her feelings (and the interpretation of those feelings), and, of, Chuck. Now we have to remember that this is not only the Sarah without her memories, but also the Sarah without that character development from 5 seasons. So she hasn't made the same inner discoveries and realizations we know she has. She is a cold-blooded spy who is being told that in the past five years she was assigned a mission, fell for her asset, confronted a great deal of her demons from her past, got married, left the CIA, was in the process of leaving the spy life for good to start a family in the suburbs, and that this guy who she has this strange connection to knows her better than anyone, possibly even herself at that point. She has to TRUST not only the validity of all of this, but she also has to trust that she still feels this way and allow herself to act on it. The second to last episode we see her accept the past as reality, which is the first part, then she needed to accept that she STILL wants that life and do whatever it takes to get it back in the last episode. And the only way to do this is an act of blind faith: letting Chuck back into her life. She doesn't remember him but she feels connected to him and whole. She has always said that being with Chuck made her feel safe, secure, and at home. These feelings never went away and we see that when she questions her orders to kill him in the end. By willingly choosing Chuck and making herself vulnerable again so that he can fill in the pieces, she displays a level of complete trust and openness that she never had before. And that last kiss didn't immediately return all her memories, those can come back over the years in dreams, but that wasn't what it was meant to do. The last kiss was supposed to confirm her feelings for Chuck, that what he's saying is true and that she still loves him for that same unexplainable reason that they have been connected since she first day walked into that Buy More.

Wow.. well said! Good point about remembering things in dreams. Also We actually see in episode 11 she feels a connection to Chuck when she takes the glasses. He put his hand on her waist and she allows this and seems confused/conflicted then Quinn told her to get outta there. She also disobeys an order to blow the building. In episode 12 when he took her to the house she was feeling what he was saying but sly Sarah kicked in. I viewed it as spy Sarah fighting Chuck Sarah. Then she sees remembers the carving in the wall and she is again conflicted, then Quinn admits to manipulating her. After this happens Chuck takes a bullet for her. I think at this point she knows he loves her. She then watched the video logs now she knows she loved him. Now she’s angry and wants revenge. She tells Chuck a few times she’s leaving and never does. She drawn to him but afraid to let him in. Like you said this is all overwhelming. I think the final mission she was falling for him again. After that it went from disappearing forever to I need time to think.

I've always loved the use of "Skinny Love" in this scene and for the longest time I thought it was referring to and expressing Chuck's seemingly unrequited love for Sarah but after recently reading through the lyrics, I just realized that in this scene this song is expressing Sarah's feelings at the moment! "Come on Skinny Love just last a year"= Sarah wants more time with Chuck, just one more year because she enjoys their time together. But knows their love is "skinny" i.e. fake, malnourished, and not likely to last because it's only a matter of time before she gets new orders and is stationed somewhere else "I tell my love to wreck it all, cut out all the ropes and let me fall"= "When you get the intersect out of your head and you have the life you always wanted, you'll forget all about me" "Right in this moment, this order's tall"= Despite what she just said, Sarah doesn't want Chuck to forget her. "And I told you to be patient, and I told you to be fine. I told you to be patient. And I told you to be kind"= Sarah keeps telling Chuck to maintain the cover, be patient with the cover, and so on but she knows she's pushing him to his emotional limits "And all your love is wasted and then who the hell was I?"= Sarah realizes that if this keeps up, Chuck will just waste all his love on her a "cover girlfriend" and probably distrust any relationship afterwards and who the hell was she to do that to him? That's why Sarah gets emotional afterwards because she's seeing how much damage she's been doing to Chuck, unintentionally or not, but due to the limits of her job at the moment she can't express it. And Chuck, doesn't see this because she has her back to him so he just assumes she's being her typical cover-self. Long story short, I love this scene even more now.

Interesting, never thought of it that way. I still feel like this scene and the one where he tells her he can't move in with her, are very similar. In both, she understands where he's coming from about their relationship, but she's still heart broken because her feelings for him are real, she just doesn't know what to do. It's never actually been "fake" for her. Even during their argument, in Chuck VS The Crown Vic, about The Kiss, it's clear she's heart broken over his question about whether the kiss was actually about him.

You put it very well. Script and story aside, I think that despite all odds, that was Sarah who started to want, really want a real relationship with Chuck and showed it, made him feel it, but Chuck constantly pushed her away. If I neutrally look at their relationship throughout the first three seasons, which matter most, I give credit to Sarah. She just wanted to move slowly and surely, but Chuck rushingly kept pushing her away for real. Heart matters, feelings matter, but real words and actions matter More.

@narnia99chique Actually, the poster was completely in the right. This vampire fad has nothing on the greatest show on television. And furthermore, the original version of the song (as heard here) is light years ahead of the version that was used on that silly vampire show

Script and story aside, I think that despite all facts and against all odds, that was Sarah who started to want, really want a real relationship with Chuck and showed it, made him feel it, slowly, but Chuck constantly pushed her away. If I neutrally look at their relationship throughout the first three seasons, which matter most, I would give credit to Sarah. She just wanted to move slowly and surely, but Chuck rushingly kept pushing her away for real. Heart matters, feelings matter, but real words and actions matter Most. I have a strange feeling that a very near experience happened to Zach and Yvonne in real life, toward each other. Look at their chemistry in interviews, comic cons, short real clips, how they were looking at each other, how they acted near each other. I suspect the strong feelings, the love were there, for real, but Zach for some reasons never nurtured it and transformed it into a real relationship, until it was too late.

I love this show for that exact reason. The first 2 and a half seasons are heartwrenchingly painful to watch, because their relationship wants to go somewhere but cant. But when they finally choose to be together, their relationship explodes and you get to enjoy it for the remainder of the show. None of the "will they, wont they" garbage most tv shows keep throwing in to keep things spiced up. You get to sit there and watch them grow happier as the episodes continue. Even the ending of the show, as hated as it may be by some, gives you enough information to accept that she will get her memories back. God i love this show.

No, she wasn't. Dumb spy brain defeats innocent, naive love. It is sad, but true.
