The last scene, Chuck learning about being framed, the music, the emotions of the characters, all of it still gets to me every time I watch it. "CHUCK" is one of the best shows of all time.

Karina was a great counterweight to Sarah. It seemed that Karina represented Sarah's motives, morals, and behavior BEFORE Sarah met Chuck.
@bocconom6 жыл бұрын
Hmmm, you got me thinking on this. What if Karina represents Sarah's inevitable slide in motives, morals, and behavior if Chuck had never crossed her path? By the way, nice to see Chuck fans posting in 2019. :)
@kelleysauer16936 жыл бұрын
@@bocconom The idea that Karina represents what Sarah might have become is interesting. I still think Karina is more "what Sarah was". Each episode in which Karina appeared emphasized their previous work together, their close friendship, their understanding of the other, and how they enjoyed each other's company, I don't see any of that as possible if Sarah had been so different from Karina. I think meeting Chuck changed Sarah. In one of the interviews about the characters, both Yvonne and Schwarz commented about how Sarah evolved over the series from being a hardened professional into someone with feelings. Going back to the first show, Sarah was prepared to execute Chuck (as per her orders from the CIA director) rather than let him get away, not meaning keep him out of Casey's hands but to keep him in custody of the intelligence community. P.S. Glad to see someone else who looks at "Chuck" and thinks about it.

@@kelleysauer1693 Nice dialoguing with you, another Chuck fan. I fully agree with you about Sarah evolving over time and Chuck is the catalyst for this change. When people say Sarah's very first look at Chuck in their very first meeting was the beginning of her falling in love with him I disagree with them. The thing that struck me was that look she gives was like a predator sizing up her prey. Those are predator eyes. But I will also say her look softens as she observes him helping the dad who failed to record his daughter's recital because of no digital tape in the camera. This especially comes out when she sees how he encourages the daughter about how ballerinas are tall. Was Sarah a hardened spy? Yes. Maybe this is a better way to put it: Sarah was nowhere near the cynic Karina was. Sarah did have feelings for Bryce. Karina uses people for her owe ends and if need be just out and out kill them without any feelings whatsoever. If I am not mistaken there is a time where Sarah states she started falling for Chuck after he fixed her phone.
@kelleysauer16936 жыл бұрын
I think she says it was "after he fixed her phone but before he disarmed the bomb" (which happened in episode 1). Perhaps she never was as cynical as Karina. I like your analogy between Sarah and a predator eyeing its prey when she first sees Chuck, but that goes along with my idea that she was as willing to harm others as Karina. Plus remember when Karina goes with Chuck to save Sarah out of friendship for Sarah, when Chuck was still pre-intersect 2 (and couldn't really help her), so Karina wasn't a total cynic either.

@@kelleysauer1693 I think you are correct with what she said. Chuck represented a deep answer to a deep longing within herself that her life choices up to this time never provided.

3:16 this is what pissed me off about Sarah. Oh so it's very hard for you to open up with chuck but it's okay if it's shaw. Thank goodness that chuck is madly in love with you. Based on your action it would be more justified if he left you as soon as he gets the chance.
@cb5440a3 жыл бұрын
I agree it's out of character for Sarah, unless it was part of her secret plan with Casey to pretend to be interested in Shaw (deleted scene that was cut that explains why she "moved on so fast" with shaw)

You need to rewatch the show and pay attention (not being mean ) It did make sense at that moment in time for her to open herself up. Listen to her dialogue for the reason why. Also season 1 Sarah is not like season 3 Sarah. You can also see that from about episode 6 to 12 of season 3 she’s a total wreck emotionally, she barely smiled and when she did you can clearly see it was fake. Such an Amazing actress is Yvonne. It’s a crime she didn’t win an Emmy on chuck or worse even nominated for one.
