I don't know why the writers had Iris lying about her feeling toward Barry. I heard a snowbarry say season 5 is about Kaitlin and Barry. that he leaves Iris for Kaitlin; this premise means the writer lead us down this Westallen road as an emotional trap which would be unbelievably mean and damn pointless.

Geri St lmao. SB is not gonna happen, so you can ignore that. As for Iris, 1) she was in a committed relationship and is extremely loyal. She didn't want to jeopardize that. And after Eddie died, she felt guilty moving on & ofc sad that he was gone since she loved him. 2) It took her a while to realize she HAD feelings for Barry. She was not secretly harboring them for years the way he was. And then for half of season 2 he was in his own relationship. They just couldn't get the timing right for a long time. Everything is all good for them now though. I just wanted to showcase the initial struggle in this video.
