Listening to the music, I thought I was watching a Doubleboost video! Great stuff, Sherline and Doubleboost!

Just beautiful. The only thing I don't like about your machines is the price. But that is easily overcome by their versatility. I got my 5410 to make small tools for my other hobbies... but this week I made a oil-plug tool by chucking an M12 bolt in the chuck, mounted on a rotary table, and 'carving off anything that'wasn't square' with a 1/4" endmill. Then I made a tool to fit a driveshaft oil-seal on my car. I've made brass weights for my blinds and shelf knobs(holds the shelf up) for an old IKEA coffee table. you need to add a sticker to these machines; 'Warming: operating this machine is highly habitforming.'

I like the sticker idea.

Probably next year, I'll be buying the 17" manual lathe. Smaller than the Chinese lathes, but bigger than clock makers lathes, yet equally accurate.

Can you please show the G code that changes tools without the machine stopping.

Do you have a timecode reference?

@@SherlineProducts At 1:50 it changes to the spot drill. Then at around 2:08 it changes to the drill. I find that if I use T0x M6 to do this it stops and waits for a tool change.

Got it. It needs the Tool Change set to Gang Tooling. Then the M6 works without stopping for a manual tool change.

Open loop Steppers are too slow... I recommend going with closed loop steppers and speeding up the IPM... the demo operation seemed like it used too many tools to accomplish what it did.

the background music is just annoying; why not have a voice over to explain the operations?
