Okay, let's discuss the several bad takes here. 1. Ronaldo was discussing the facilities and services available to staff, fans and media. While it is all true, bringing back Ronaldo was part of THAT plan. Ronaldo was brought back as part of a monetisation policy, something not even the Glazers would allow Man City to one up them on. It was clear that Jorge Mendes (his agent) was attempting to shift him to any club, and taking the interview as gospel, went back to United because the club only heard he was available when he was talking to Pep. 2. Tazer's "Liverpool-Bias" was talking nonsense here. Olé finished 2nd and got to the UEL final, finishing ahead of Liverpool, and washing them out of the FA Cup that year. They were also third behind United. If anything, bringing in Ronaldo unbalanced the squad, put Cavani's nose out of joint and with the selling on Dan James, left us a counterattack side with no one to run in behind, and we all know how that worked out. I'd say it's working in a similar way to Liverpool now. 3. This interview was not part of that policy. If that was the case, nothing would've been said about Gary Neville, Wayne Rooney, Erik Ten Hag or Ralf Ragnick. There'd be no need to. The latter was an interim manager, there to hold a transition period, only difference being that he wasn't going to be given the job full time as Olé was. These were personal petty attacks led by someone feeding his ego, and getting the big quotes in. Donny Van Der Beek was in a worse position than Ronaldo was before the interview, and he said FAR less on Rio's FIVE podcast interview. At least Chuckie called Tazer out on this.

2 things should've have happened at the end of last season: 1. Ronaldo should've put out a statement. In which, he talked about the loss of his child and wanting a fresh start with his family (whether it was true or not) 2. United should've accepted that request to leave and if no one wanted to buy him, mutually terminate the contract. All this would've spared all the unnecessary drama between Ronaldo and the manager/execs. As a United fan, I have 0 problem with anything he said, minus throwing the manager under the bus (no matter how justified he felt) and doing the interview with a troll like P*sshead Moron. Those 2 things put the fans solely on the side of the manager. He'll always be a legendary figure, but time to move on. Goodbye and good luck with your future endeavours.
