Hate to be that person but social media and dating apps have ruined dating. People would rather shoot their shot online than in a real life interaction. You always get asked what your insta is so that you can be preed on and they can make whole conclusions about you based on a few pics. Things are hella superficial and inorganic. These apps give you a false sense of reality due to such a large dating pool which results in the paradox of choice (always thinking there's someone better) etc. Sad times that you'll walk past many potential, real people everyday only to get online to shoot your shot for people who are fake versions of themselves.

I just grew to embrace it. Being short has been a blessing in disguise most my life and I wouldnt wish it away for anything. It makes me different in an endless sea of everyone trying to be the same. When people see you actually living a good life they kinda respect you for it. All I can say is this, if in person dating wasn’t so messed up to begin with, the dating apps would’ve never became popular. I’m a 5’7 guy and the apps save me from wasting my time approaching girls who’ve got height preferences. There’s pros and cons each dating type,but I actually prefer to call them Online match making and in-person Match making. I can honestly say that Online is way better than in person if you’re 5’8 and below for a man. But taller than that, they really can play the field at dangerous levels.
