The lady in black shirt is very brave.She really ate the embryo and got the real taste of the balut. The balut is not fresh anymore,maybe its because of the number of days it has gone through from the day it was imported and transported from the Philippines.

Remove the balut shell little by little so that they will not see and scared by the duck embryo after every bite.then sprinkle with salt and pour some drop of vinegar for a better balut eating experience .

Seems that the restaurant prefers to sell a more mature balut than the usual ones we have there in the Philippines. Looks like a 20-21 day old balut to me. LOL! Let them redo the whole thing with a 16-18 day old balut and I'm sure they'll gonna love it more.

I only eat balut when I'm intoxicated and preffered to eat it in a spot that is dim. 😂 A balut paired with a natural and pure coconut vinegar with fresh spices aka Sukang Bisaya with salt is dope! I'm too squeamish to watch how they dissect the duck embryo and just listen to the audio 😂😂

Always ask for a 16-day old balut so the embryo is a lot smaller. Crack the wider side, sip the soup so it's not messy later on when eating the rest of the egg. Eat the embryo in one go (dissecting it is a bit gross, so kudos to the 3 girls 👊!) Dip it in some vinegar and salt, of course. The yolk part is the best! The white part is hard so most of us don't eat that. I love the Ukranian girl, so very brave! She even loved the dinuguan! (which is my personal favorite, if cooked correctly. 🤤)

I highly suggest to try the 16days balut for beginners. Smaller form duck with more soup. I think you all having the 18days balut which has bigger and well formed duck and kess soup. For me balut best part is the soup and the yolk and i prefer 16 or 17 days old balut than the 18days balut. Its soo funny that its looks like a anatomy class video in a culinary way. Haha. Nice one.
