I watched a friend pull his hides with wool carters he said it pulls 6-8" of the hair and hide less chance to pull out a clump of hair in case of slippage ( similiar to velcro hooks ) I guess old school tools of the trade eh -Nice side hill gouger !

I was thinking you would use a dark brown or black thread to see up the bears back with the baseball stitch instead of white thread. I use Muskie fishing line not the real thick stuff but there's thin and its cloth like line and super heavy duty and ties up great and knots great too

Despite all the steps required for taxidermy and all the work involved, you nevertheless make it look easy. I'd like to see how you'd do taxidermy for a fish (about the size of a Salmon.)
