It would have to be in a fitting epic final showdown between the 2 of them; and 2.) Andy would probably do everything in his power to make sure that he took Chucky down with him.

That's the point. Andy would (sadly) be prepared for this situation, but this is Chucky's DREAM. Chucky still thinks of Andy like an annoying little six year old, like a slippery victim he'll eventually get to and finally get to see cry. He'd never react like this, since Chucky's narcissistic tendancies block him from realising that Andy always beats him and will always be prepared, and that he couldn't get the upper hand so easily in real life.

With the original actor behind Chucky, Brad Douriff, being in his mid to late 60s, it will be very interesting to see how far Don Mancini will take the series in terms of what other storylines will be explored considering how season 3 of the Chucky series ended along with a upcoming new Chucky film now in the works too. Personally, if Brad Douriff decides to one day stop acting all together, then Don Mancini should end the Chucky series with Chucky dying for good.

Dourif also is in retirement for the sake of his daughter, Fiona, too. I guess when Brad has had his complete fill of portraying Chucky, that is when Chucky will be dead for good.

Andy and Chucky are like Batman and Joker, they're never going to truly kill the other off for good but they'll keep at it. I've seen some fans say they wouldn't mind seeing Andy transfer his soul into a doll so we have a good doll to counter Chucky but for that to happen Andy would have to use spells and worship Damballa so I doubt they'll ever go down that path.
