Yeah, “Europe” is not one big soccer league. Europe is not one team. Europe is from highest to lowest. Opta's latest rankings show that MLS clubs are equal to or even better than most clubs in the Dutch league, except for a few big clubs like PSV. Conversely, the Dutch league is overrated thanks to clubs like PSV. MLS is competitive from top to bottom without big clubs. There's no point in saying like, “Going from Europe to MLS sucks!” nowadays.

Sure, I don't disagree with your overall point, but playing with PSV also allows you to play against stiff competition from the strongest leagues in the world in other comps, like Arsenal, Sevilla, and Dortmund recently in the CL.

It's more that europe gives you access to the Europa or CL to test against the best competition continent wide. MLS is a solid league that helps a lot of guys advance to Europe. Chucky has another year that if he were to impress maybe get his way back into Europe for 2 years. He comes to MLS and just roasts the competition, I could see him get a shot to Rangers or Celtic maybe. Hopefully he has something in his clause that allows him to go there for a year or 2 and then come back to San Diego. But who knows..that's a lot of What ifs.

MLS is not a drop down from the Eredivisie, the bottom half of which is quite weak. MLS is certainly a drop down from PSV and UEFA Champions League. But MLS is better than the Eredivisie.

No it is not, the bottom teams in Holland are weak but they're better than any awful MLS team. Fucking Inter Miami are top for crying out loud hahaha. You Americans crack me up, only won one CONCACAF CL, and now your league is better than the Eredivisie 😂
