Honestly i think it was for the best, the first season was the only decent one that retained Chucky's horror roots where as season 2 and 3 got so ridiculously campy in a way that just wasn't enjoyable imo. This series desperately needs John Lafia or Tom Holland back in the series to keep Mancini's Campy ideas in check.

Season 2 was the nail in the coffin for me, I just came back for Don Mancini's voice acting. As well as the fun scenario with Charles being a ghost in the white house that's it.

I made it halfway through the first season. It was apparent early on that this show was not aimed at my demographic (I'm 33) with all due respect, the show felt like it was aimed for young teens. Which is fine, if I don't like something, I'm not going to watch it. That simple. I hope a return to form. I haven't enjoyed the Chuck since bride of Chucky. Thanks for the content.

fucking tragedy, this show was 100% how i want the tone to be. perfect blend of horror and humor and gore. Edit: many people are disagreeing with the horror part, and I should’ve been clear that the “perfect blend” wasn’t evenly split 3 ways. While I personally love horror, I don’t see Chucky as a horror character, I’d describe it as more of a “violent comedic slasher”. Slashers don’t have to be scary to be enjoyable, and I don’t find Chucky scary (anymore, this doll genuinely plagued the first ten years of my life and nightmares). So my “perfect blend” of horror is the level of horror in the show, there are some creepy moments (I’d say the Chucky eating Andy’s leg and the concept of a child being manipulated into killing his father are scary), but it is mostly a slasher comedy.

On point. For instance, when Glenn happened in SEED I didn´t take the character as being trans or even gay. To me it was a joke that he didn´t have privates and because of how Chucky and Tiffany wanted him to be he became psycothic (literal Pshyco) or maybe he was a killer after all and just wanted not to be. And even if, later on, Mancini wanted the character to be an actual transvestite, feminine or gay...that´s fine. But not the woke they/them he did in Season 2.

But all good things must come to an end at some point and honestly if we really want chucky to be remembered for more generations to come, then it’s probably what’s best for his franchise. I was just getting really tired of how bad the characters and story were. My wish is that the tv show is all just a dream. Whether it's Tiffany's, Andy's, or Chucky's or whoever. I would accept that. I just wanna see a direct sequel to Cult and have Andy, Kyle, Tiffany, Nica, and Chucky. Nica doesn't lose her limbs, and we actually find out how Andy got out of the asylum. So the opening of the movie we can learn that, then it will flash forward to present day (the year the movie comes out, probably 8 or 9 years later since the Cult took place in 2017) and then go from there. This way, in a way, the tv show could still kind of be canon.

I know a lot of people share the "Tone down or remove the comedy aspect to Chucky" opinion (and of course anyone has the right to have their opinions even if there's others who don't share the same opinion) but for me personally, I enjoy the comedy aspect of Chucky so much, I think Chucky is the perfect horror character to have that funny, making jokes side to him. Yeah the scary and dark stuff is awesome as well, but to me, it's easy to enjoy both parts of Chucky. I really enjoyed the show, didn't really have many issues with the series. I thought it was a perfect 10 out of 10

The new movie needs to address a way to mass-produce more Good Guy dolla. The problem with the tv series is it would imply that Chucky was in his last body. Then by the end of the season Chucky would have a new body to transfer into. Maybe a new company could buyout play pals to add some history to the franchise?
